Breakdown after private sale - are we responsible?

As a private seller I sold our 13 year old Land Rover to a dealer after a telephone call giving a description of the vehicle condition. A price was agreed.

A driver came to pick it up in exchange for cash and I received an email the next day to say that the Land Rover had broken down, apparently the head gasket!

To the best of our knowledge the engine was in good working order prior to sale. We provided full service, mechanical and MOT history and took car out for a run with the driver before the exchange.

Do we have any legal responsibility?

If you were selling privately, no.
