Fuel tank lining failure

You say on your review section about the Kia Sorento that 'by January 2011 the fuel tank delamination problem was becoming more widespread. KIA will pay for the replacement tank fitted at a KIA dealer, but not the labour costs." Can you give any further advice as to how to get KIA to cover some of the repair cost, or evidence of this having happened?

My KIA garage have said that KIA are not accepting any responsibility for this potentially dangerous fault, which has been diagnosed on my 2005 Sorento.

I have been presented with a £1200 repair bill which is a bitter pill if this fault is so well acknowledged on a car that isn't very old and has only done 49,000 miles.

I can only report what is reported to me. That was reported to me at some time in the past. If it has now been revoked then I will have to record what you have now told me.
