I renewed my licence as I am over 70 but have lost categories, can I get them back?

I renewed my licence at 70 and lost a lot of categories! This was during Covid and was impossible to get any resolution.

If I submit a copy of my original licence will DVLA give me back my groups? I’ve lost ability to do volunteer driving.

If you complete your licence renewal at 70 using the standard form any additional entitlements are automatically removed. If you want to restore any entitlements such as those for driving a minibus, you will need to reapply through the DVLA here: www.gov.uk/renew-lorry-bus-coach-licence/45-or-over

To drive a minibus you will need to complete form D2 and also complete a PCV medical which requires form D4.
