What are the driving licence rules on C1E, D1 and D1 entitlement when you reach 70?

I am due to renew my driving licence shortly, will I lose my C1E, D1 and D1E entitlement when I do?

In order to renew your C1E, D1 and D1E entitlement you will need to complete a D2 form and return it to the DVLA with a D4 medical form completed by your doctor or other medical professional. More information is available here: www.gov.uk/renew-lorry-bus-coach-licence

Once you have submitted your application you may be able to continue to drive while they are processing it, provided you have not been told by your doctor or optician you should not drive. Further guidance is available here: www.gov.uk/government/publications/inf1886-can-i-d...a
