Can I reject a car with cosmetic damage?

Just over three week after buying a car I found a mark on the roof about the size a 2p coin caused by prolonged contact with bird lime. I did not see this at time of purchase (did not check roof) and in the dealer booklet it says all cars have been checked mechanically and cosmetically by their state of the art technicians. I have asked that the roof be resprayed, they are not willing. The car is just over six years old, the bird lime has eaten away at part of the paintwork.

Sadly, the dealer is within its right to reject this warranty claim and argue that the defect should have been identified prior to purchase.
