Can I add a rear-facing lens onto my dash camera?

Could you please recommend a good quality dashcam for both front and rear at a sensible price? I have a front only Nextbase 312GW and it seems there's a small separate camera I can get that's located on the rear windscreen. Can I simply upgrade my current dashcam to include a rear camera when transferring to a new car rather than having to buy a completely new system? Your usual good advice would be appreciated.

I don't believe the 312GW came with a rear camera option. What you've seen is probably the 322GW, which is Nextbase's newer range (the 2 Series). The 322GW comes with a few rear camera options, and it's what I'd recommend if you want a rear camera and a front camera all recording onto one memory card. I'd recommend buying the Nextbase 322GW camera and then Nexbase's Rear Window module too. You can see how we did it in this review (we used the 422GW but it's pricier): kit.honestjohn.co.uk/reviews/review-nextbase-422gw

Here's a link to the Nextbase 322GW, you'd need to buy the Rear Module and a Micro SD card separately: amzn.to/3jUhKdP

Unfortunately, this isn't a cheap solution but it's the best option.
