How do I get a new log book?

I'm selling my car to a relative but I have lost the log book. How can I order a new one in the current crisis?

You will need to order a replacement from the DVLA. It costs £25 and you can order the replacement V5C over the phone or by post. It usually takes five working days to arrive, but the DVLA has limited its services due to the coronavirus lockdown and this means you may be waiting three or four weeks for it to be processed.
