Green line bus

Having just been sent a VED renewal reminder for my 2001 Renault
Espace Expression 2.0, I have been thinking about a suitable replacement. With three small children, two dependent parents and a wife who demands a high driving position, I have been looking for a 7-seater 4x4 or similar. I have abandoned my previous interest in the Volvo XC90 and Nissan Pathfinder as the VED on these is punitive. The car is going to be used on short journeys in the local area in the main. I am interested in electric or hybrid vehicles. Given this long list of requirements, is there a suitable "family skip" replacement you can recommend?
