Kenneth noise

I have a Lexus IS250 and it is without doubt the best car I have ever had. Recently, however, it has become comparatively noisy. It is 3 1/2 years old and has done 45,000 miles. The noise increases with speed, particularly from the front, and I wonder if the tyres are to blame? I have always had it serviced at the local Lexus dealer who has changed the tyres when necessary. I cannot remember the original tyres but it now has Pirellis on the back and Bridgestones on the front. Do you think this could be the problem and, if so what tyres should I have fitted?

Yes. Low profile tyres become increasingly noisy from the half worn stage. I favour Michelin Pilot Primacy HP, but, being low rolling resistance, they are relatively hard compound and that, of course, makes them noisier in winter than in summer.
