SEAT Ibiza spare wheel

I collected my new SEAT Ibiza last week to discover that there was no spare wheel, although I had checked in the brochure before purchase that one was supplied. The salesman was initially helpful and suggested that a spare would be supplied but has now back-peddled after speaking to SEAT and is taking the company line that no spare is necessary. Do I have a leg to stand on if I try to pursue this?

They give you a compressor and a can if glop instead. A spare is now an optional extra.
