It gets better
After a dodgy start - a wheel bearing needed replacing on a brand new car - it has now run fault free over 25,000 miles in the last 20 months.
The car went for its' first service at 20,000 miles and the NOx emissions service action was applied (VW's words not mine) and I am happy to report that it has made no difference to the fuel consumption or the performance of the vehicle.
What it has done is to remove the irritating, and in some circumstances, dangerous lag when coming off the brake and accelerating, such as when entering a roundabout. For this I am truly grateful.
