Ford Focus Saloon 51 plate 1.6 zetec - Annoying idle problem 19 Nov 2012 (Forum)
If you turn the engine off and on a few times sometimes this will sometimes correct the problem and in neutral the revs will go back to 800 or if you leave the car ticking over long enough, say 15mins this will also sometimes clear the problem, I put my diagnostic tool on it, no dtc faults were detected however on the onboard monitor test, number $56 the status was fail, with other readings of ID = 00, MOD = $10, MEAS = C77, MAX = 7D0 and MIN = ---. Any ideas what this might mean ? I took the idle control valve off and gave it a good clean in petrol, I had a spare throttle position sensor, tried that and it still behaved the same. -

Hello all, I purchased a car from a dealer 5 days ago, since then I have noticed an issue with the o/s/f, making a noise. I booked it into a Nissan garage to have it looked at and received a report back that stated the front anti-roll bar bushes needed replacing and both o/s and n/s would need to be done, on top of that they also stated that the 12v battery was only at 50% capacity and there was an outstanding recall on the car. -

I maybe remembering incorrectly here? I know that the Ford-PSA 2.7 V6 in the S-Type and C6 etc is a twin turbo set-up. I seem to remember that the new discovery with this engine only has one turbo though. Is this true? If so where is this turbo situated and is it just linked to one bank. -

In recent history Ford have perhaps made better cars. The new corsa is cack, I quite like the new Fiesta, to look at anyway. But Fords feel sloppy and gutless. If all you want to do is get from A to B (not via donnington on the way to work, pointing into a corner 10 seconds before you get there) then Fords do their job. -
