I have seen a couple of potential cars, both late 90's Fiestas with the ancient push rod 1.3 Endura engine. My dad has one of these it has done 74k, it is a little it noisy but its a lot quieter than diesels of that era.l The motoring press all say to avoid them, but they are chain driven etc and are very easy to service.

  • Ford Fiesta (2000 - 2002) - 2001 1.6 zetec S breakdown 25 Aug 2007 (Forum)
Finally, the engine fault light started flashing so i pulled up in the village I was conveniently driving through at the time. The car didn't overheat and there were no other warning lights. I looked in the ford manual and it said that if the engine fault light flashed whilst driving i should slow down immediately and get a ford dealer to look at it. Fair enough, thats probably what i will do. I left the car there, and got a taxi home.
