  But then I realised that for a little bit more (£1k-2k) you can have an 05 Mondeo TDCi 130 for that, or even a Focus C-MAX 1.6/2.0 TDCi. The question is, which would you have, given the need to carry stuff and go around corners? Which is the better long-term proposition?

Driveway down to garage pas gates has a max width of 206cm / 81 inches / 6.75 ft, which widens out to 220 cm / 86cm / 7.17ft What would be the max width of car that would fit down the driveway without damaging the car and allow the drivers door to be opened enough for the driver to get out?
