  • Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 1999 1.8 (petrol) engine oil level 17 Aug 2008 (Forum)
I took my Ford Focus into the Ford garage yesterday to have the rocker cover gasket repaired as it had a slight leak. They also topped up my engine oil and coolant. When I checked the oil level first thing this morning (before running the engine), on level ground, it was slightly above the max notch by about 2 to 3 mm.
  • Suzuki SX4 S-Cross - Suzuki SX4 S-Cross 2017-19 dual clutch issues? 24 Aug 2020 (Forum)
We have to buy an automatic as my partner has an automatic licence. All the models we've seen so far have a dual clutch. In the HJ review it noted the 2015-16 dual clutches were to be avoided, but does this mean issues with them have been resolved in the later models? It seems to be getting harder to avoid DCT boxes these days. Thanks very much for reading.

I was hoping all you good folks could give me some advice on what this car is like, things to look out for when buying, common problems etc. I will be looking at doing around 80 miles a day so i have singled out this car as its quite good on fuel but it also gives me the little sportyness that i love.

Hello All, our Grand C-Max 2.0 tdci (less than 3 months old) is suffering two starting problems possibly linked. 1. Starts eventually after not responding to repeated attempts for about 10 seconds. During that 10 seconds, the dash continually switches to and from showing a diagram of the steering buttons (4 arrows and the OK button) and a message "Interior Scan Yes No".

  • MINI Cooper + Cooper S - coolant level dropping quickly 19 Dec 2010 (Forum)
Last month the coolant started leaking and recently BMW found the thermostat + thermostat housing was at fault. This was replaced by BMW and the coolant level on the day was topped up to max. It has only been a week since all this and already the coolant level has dropped to minimum! There is no obvious signs of a leak and there is no coolant leak on the floor (as there was originally with the leak before the thermostat was replaced).

  • Newbie with money to burn 2 Jul 2008 (Forum)
Does anybody have any thoughts as to which may be the better buy? One thing of course that the C-Max does have to it's advantage, is at least 12 months of Ford warranty. I did look at a £11000 Golf Plus but the dealer only offered to knock the price down by £300 for cash Regards Covenant
