I have a new C-Max. The Message Centre in the dashboard offers a choice of "steering settings": Standard, Sport and Comfort. This feature is not described in the manual. The Ford telephone helpline can't offer technical advice and the dealer who supplied the car has never heard of it!! -

Ford b max zetec navigator auto - 12 month old Finance car Total loss 7 Mar 2018 (Forum)
Anyway they first kept me in the dark that I was entitled to a replacement vehicle it was GAP insurance who told me. Now I was asked to contact ford which I did but I contacted my dealer who said they don’t make ford b max in automatic anymore. Told insurance when they should’ve been contacted ford finance which I confirmed with ford finance.they are going down the total loss route regardless and not offering me a replacement car claiming it’s hit the 12 month mark anyway but I would say at the time of accident it wasn’t? -

There's no excuse for Ford never having issued a product recall for this problem, in July of 2014 we should not have been able to purchase one of these cars if not for Ford's irresponsible behaviour in their handling of their design error. -

Wonder if someone can help, i know there are loads of threads on here about DPF issues , but alas my one is a strange one. Car is a 55 Plate Diesel C-Max, last year we my wife was using the car for work, which was very short journeys, the Engine Systems light came on, and a Blocked DPF was diagnosed, this was rectified by a mechanic plugging a computer on the car and revving it for a number of minutes, anycase a few weeks went by and i started using the car to give it a run out and doing 60 mile round trips on the motorway, and it blocked again. -
Impressions of new Focus C-max 19 Feb 2004 (Forum)
and drove round Bambi and sister who were left with however many remaining lives they need intact until the hunting season. No drama, no fuss, just like the Focus advert. So started pushing things on a bit more and the C-Max does hang on well, nice and pointy with a very clear message that things are getting on the edge when the slip angle of the real wheels increases all in a very controllable way. Well done Ford. That got me thinking, maybe I hadn't given the Focus C-max a fair shot after all. -
