  Saw an 04 Ford Focus C-max at the local Ford dealership advertised for £4999. I called in to ask about it but was quickly steered by the salesman to look at other C-max the dealer had in stock from £5999 and upwards.

  The question occurred after I saw a marked Ford S-Max today. Why would the police want a people carrier, I thought, until I got a bit closer and saw the legend: 'Police Dogs' written on the side. The two rearmost side windows had been replaced with glass with three ventilation louvres.

  I'm pretty sure that the straps are there for exactly this kind of thing. Needless to say I'm not too happy and have contacted Ford to get this fixed under warranty - don't think I'm wrong to expect not to have to pay £500 for each gust of wind - especially as I live in Edinburgh. Not sure if the S-Max has the same 'strapless' doors!

  Hello all, I've been trying to buy a C Max/ghia Tdi CVT from a mai ford dealer. They don't have any coming as there may be "problems" with it. I pointed out than the non-cvt versions still being built. He could not confirm if the cvt transmission was the problem.

  The one I am liking the most overall is the S-Max so if you only have time for a brief comment I would love some opinions on the TDCI lineup and how to tell the PSA derived from Ford's own. All other comments welcome. I can maintain and repair my cars for most things not requiring a lift and a crew and I am not crazy about having huge BHP on tap as long as I can move when needed.

  Hi, I am changing my car soon and I want to use my Ipod in my new car. According to the Dension website, they don't make a 'wired' link for a Ford S-max with the 6006 stereo, only a FM radio link. In past experience, FM radio links are not really that good. It's a shame because | have a dension hard wired solution in my BMW and it is fantastic, it charges the Ipod, perfect sound quality and the steering wheel controls operate the Ipod.

  Quite ironic, given every make and their dof are now going into producing numerous MPVs and SUVs for their smaller and mid-sized hatchbacks...I thought that the original C-Max was actually fine, but turned into an ugly car through following iterations.
