    London will stage the biggest and most comprehensive display ever dedicated to one of Britain’s best-loved sporting heroes. In previous years, the London Classic Car Show has put the spotlight on F1’s greatest car designer Adrian Newey, the McLaren F1 supercar, and 70 years of Ferrari history.   • Classics rev up for Monte Carlo rally 25 Jan 2017 (News)
    It will take place over eight days on open public roads with the cars and crews undertaking a series of 14 demanding test stages in the mountains of southern France. Included in the line-up will be an ex-BMC works Mini Cooper S which competed in the Monte Carlo Rally 50 years ago, finishing 6th overall in the hands of rally legend Paddy Hopkirk. It will be driven by Scottish rally enthusiasts Pat Haley and Mike Hyrons. Also taking part will be a rare and original 1978 Ford Escort RS 2000 which had previously been on display in a car showroom in Wales.

    Among the marques being celebrated in Regent Street will be Mini and Morgan, while the event will also see celebrations marking half a century of the Ford Mustang and the 40th anniversary of the Porsche 911 Turbo. Extra interaction is being provided via a new smartphone app created by autoGraph and downloadable via the iPhone App Store, enabling visitors to receive information on many of the exhibits, tailored to suit each visitor profile – from the tech-hungry petrolhead to the youngest family member.

    Most noteworthy of the cars estimated under £10,000 is a 1960 Morris Mini Minor that appeared with Twiggy in M&S TV commercials and become so famous that Corgi made a model of it. The Mini is estimated at between £7,000 - £9,000. Also worth mentioning, a multiple concours-winning, low mileage 1967 Austin Mini Countryman, estimated at  £12,000 - £15,000, and a1990 Jaguar XJS V12 expertly rebuilt by KWE Engineering of Top Gear fame, estimated at £8,000 - £11,000.

    The auction includes a fine selection of micro cars, a 1965 Morris Mini Cooper S recreated to the Italian Job specifications and the Jaguar Legend collection, with several E-Types, a SS100, a SS Tourer and various models of the XK and MK series, amongst others. Cars once owned by famous personalities include a 1954 Rolls-Royce that belonged to Dirk Bogard, and a 1972 Volkswagen Karman Ghia once owned by Kelly Jones and Javier Weyler of Stereophonics.

  • Classic Italian Car Auction in April 11 Mar 2009 (News)
    The car was originally owned by Frederic S Bennett, the Englishman famed for reversing the fortunes of Cadillac 100 years ago by winning the Dewar Trophy in 1908, and for completing the Bennett Run in 1903 and 1953. Bennett acquired the Nash new in 1930, and owned it for 26 years.
