  After having a 4 wheel alignment done over christmas my Mondeo is still chewing rear tyres (the fronts are fine.) I bought some subframe alignment pins on the internet and found the front subframe to be misaligned according to the alignment holes in subframe and shell.

  Got my Alignment fixed and it drives perfectly straight, the issue was the steer ahead was off and the car was driving to the right when the wheel was centered, but since the alignment fix it now feels like the front left side sits slightly lower.

  Hello All, I booked my year 2020 VW Golf MK8 in for two new front tyres and a full wheel alignment at my local tyre centre and they said that they were unable to carry out the wheel alignment as my car was an Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) equipped vehicle and they did not have the equipment capable of carrying out the ADAS recalibration following a wheel alignment.

  I am curious to know if incorrect headlight alignment is an automatic MOT fail in the UK? Here in southern Ireland the rules changed in the last couple of years deeming it an automatic fail, complete with all the hassle involved. i was also wondering what the average price in the UK is for headlight alignment on the beam setter at a garage?

  Jazz has got her 2nd service coming up at the end of January. Do they check wheel alignment during a normal service or do you have to ask them to do it? Would it be cheaper to have it done at an independent garage? (I assume that wheel alignment doesn't come under things covered by the warranty).

  I've recently had my car laser checked which has revealed that my n/s/r wheel is out of alignment- the car has a slight pull to the left which is most noticable under braking. Is the rear alignment adjustable and if so is this a Honda dealer job or could I expect to find an independent to carry out the work?

  I am wnting to get my front wheels aligned as my drivers side tyre is worn on the inner side and the tyres are only 6 month old. Only problem is my passenger side ball joint has some play in it. Can I still get the wheel alignment done if this is the case or will the measurements be out due to the worn ball joint?

  From searching the backroom I find that "wheel alignment" and "tracking" are the same thing? From what I have read and enquired you can pay between £20 and £65 for an "4 wheel alignment check with basic adjustment" Do you tend to get what you pay for?

    The depth on them is 2.65 for inner (both) and 2.56 outer passenger side, 2.77 driver side.  From that would you say that the wheel alignment needs adjusting?  Thanks.

  Can wheel alignment be done if the car has different size tryes on the front and back? I have 2 * 195/65 R15 on the front and 2 * 185/65 r15 on the back. Cheers

  Ever since I bought the car I have had problems with the alignment of the headlamps. Recently the local dealer had to replace the some of the self levelling items as they were faulty. The car was returned with the lights aligned skywards, blinding oncoming traffic.

  Is a 12mm difference in longitudinal alignment across the front wheels on a Ford Mondeo within manufacturing specification? I have a friend who has managed to come to this deviation by unknown means, but, to me it seems a tad too much. Is it worth him having a wheel alignment, or maybe getting it jigged.

  The garage has rechecked the alignment and says everything is okay, but the fuel consumption has not improved. No other servicing has been performed. Could re alignment have such an effect? Thanks
