  • Donington Historic Festival to feature anniversary Maserati race 30 Jan 2014 (News)
    To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Maserati, Motor Racing Legends and the Maserati Club UK are staging a historic Maserati race at this year’s Donington Historic Festival on 3-May. Running as a double header over two of the Festival’s three days, the Maserati Centenary Trophy is for all types of Maseratis and OSCAs built before 1966.
  • Maserati 100th celebrated at Silverstone Classic 30 Jan 2014 (News)
    Marking the occasion, Maserati’s rich competition and showroom heritage will parade around the full Silverstone Grand Prix circuit at lunchtime on Sunday 27 July. Working closely with Maserati GB and the Maserati Club UK, the 100th anniversary festivities at the Silverstone Classic will be the biggest in the UK and one of the largest marque celebrations in the world.

    Another Maserati - a 1968 Maserati Mexico 4.7-Litre Coupe – also did well, selling for £474,156. Named in honour of Cooper-Maserati's victory in the 1966 Mexican Grand Prix, the Maserati Mexico was unveiled at the 1966 Turin motor show.  This Mexico is a bespoke Frua creation, one of three one-offs produced in the longstanding relationship between Maserati and car designer Pietro Frua.

  • Ex-Elton John Maserati heads to auction 28 Jan 2016 (News)
    A 2005 Maserati Quattroporte V, first owned by Sir Elton John, will be going under the hammer at Classic Car Auctions’ March Sale. It is expected to fetch up to £17,000 when it goes to auction on Saturday, 19 March, at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre in Leamington Spa.

    The distinctive look of the car is in part down to the double Carello headlights, another Dr Wax option. The Borrani Record wheels bear their original hubcaps, with a red Maserati logo (for the Iniezione), instead of blue ones. The present owner, a member of the technical committee of the Dutch Maserati Club, restored the car completely between 2012 and 2013. Martin van der Zeeuw, H&H Classics’ agent in Holland who sourced the car, says: ‘Although it doesn't look like that from the outside, this beautiful Maserati is a genuine one-off, 'customised' car.

    Styled by Giorgetto Giugiaro, of the famed Ital Design studio, the Spyder is the first new Maserati to be developed entirely under the supervision of company owners Ferrari. A radical innovation on the Maserati Spyder is the electronically actuated six-ratio transmission named 'Cambiocorsa', which offers computerised gear selection through paddle levers fitted behind the steering wheel.
  • Maserati Boomerang concept heads to auction 16 Jun 2015 (News)
    A one-off Maserati concept car will go under the hammer on 5 September. The 1970s angular and sharply styled Boomerang looks set to be the highlight of Bonhams Chantilly sale. Unveiled at the 1971 Turin motor show, the car was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and used geometric shapes and ruler-straight lines.  The following year, it appeared at the Geneva show as a fully working vehicle. Based on a Maserati Bora, it boasted a normally-aspirated 4.7-litre, 300bhp V8 which was mounted behind the driver.

  • Maserati 3500 GT Vignale Spyder heads to auction 12 Oct 2017 (News)
    Introduced in 1959, Vignale's Maserati 3500GT Spyder was the creation of Giovanni Michelotti, at that time the company's star designer. The Spyder lasted in production until 1964, by which time only 245 cars had been made. As well as this stunning Maserati, the sale is packed full of Italian marques with examples from Lancia, De Tomaso, Fiat, Abarth, Alfa Romeo, and Ferrari going under the hammer.

    A 1962 Maserati 3500 GT sold for or £117,600 at auction this weekend - more than three times its highest estimate. The car, which went under the hammer on Saturday, 13 June, at Anglia Car Auctions also set a new record for the King’s Lynn-based firm.
  • Goodwood Revival to honour Maserati 250F 1 Aug 2014 (News)
    This year’s Goodwood Revival will mark 60 years of one of Formula One’s most iconic machines, the Maserati 250F, with one of the largest ever on-track collections of the car at the September 12-14 event. As many as 16 examples of the 250F will take part in the Richmond Trophy, which this year will feature 2.5-litre, front-engined GP cars of the kind that raced from 1954 to 1960.
