  • A Grand Monday: Peugeot 106 XS 31 Oct 2016 (News)
The XS comes with a 1.4-litre carburettor version of the renowned XU engine, developing 73bhp. That’s not a huge amount, but given the 106’s wafer-thin metalwork, it’s plenty enough to give it a turn of pace that should put a smile on your face. This

  • Supercharged '63 Studebaker Hawk GT For Historics Winter Auction 8 Oct 2016 (News)
We've seen this 1968 Ford Mustang GT500 Eleanor recreation before. Similar to the star car of 'Gone in 60 Seconds', this one is based on an  original S-Code big-block 390, confirmed by an accompanying Marti Report, putting a dyno-tested 450HP through a TKO 600 five-speed manual box. it's estimated at £78,000 - £88,000. Back down to earth, this immaculately presented Fisher bodied 1952 Chevrolet Styleline de-luxe has Chevrolet's famous 216ci (3.5 litre) ohv 'Stovebolt Six' under the hood and is on sale only due to the passing away of its former owner.
  • A Grand Monday: Volvo 340 18 Jul 2016 (News)
And that means they survived. What nobody was expecting, though, was that they would become a cult car. Yet the 340’s layout, with its rear transaxle, means near 50:50 weight distribution, better than a Porsche 911. Which made it a popular choice with drifters. Not the bad, the drivers who prefer going sideways over going forwards.
  • Rare 1960s Costin-Nathan race car heads to auction 1 Jun 2016 (News)
It is the original Works Prototype as driven with success by Roger himself in 1966. I’m probably dewy eyed having raced one quite extensively in the 60’s. From a personal angle, the car as an Imp engined GT was a delight to drive, very quick in its class with neutral handling.’ A collaboration between engineer and aerodynamicist Frank Costin and gifted racer and tuner Roger Nathan, work on the Costin-Nathan project began in 1965 with the prototype making its debut at the following January’s Racing Car Show.
  • Stunning Mk1 Mondeo for sale at £1500 25 May 2015 (News)
‘Even sections of the factory protective cellophane wrapping to the inner door steps remain intact! An enormously comfortable interior and even inch representative of a 1990’s showroom example, truly exceptional.’ Sounds good, doesn’t it? Under the bonnet, the car is fitted with a 2.0i DOHC 16v four-cylinder engine. With 136bhp and 180Nm of torque, it’s still capable of keeping up with modern traffic – 0-62mph takes 9.2 seconds.

  • Jensen makes a comeback...again 4 Mar 2015 (News)
Neither Jensen Group nor JIA is directly connected to the original Jensen Motors, although the new GT will be marketed as an official Jensen model – the first since the launch of the S-V8 in the late ’90s, which ended in failure in 2002. According to Jensen Motors, the GT is the first of two new models set to be launched next year, with its final production levels being dictated by demand.
  • Celebrate 30 years of the Sinclair C5 2 Jan 2015 (News)
He later claimed that the C5 was intended to fund the development of a much larger, four-seat electric vehicle, which could travel at speeds of up to 80mph. However, the C5’s commercial failure meant that this never happened.

  • A Grand Monday: Saab 99 7 Apr 2014 (News)
Such was its modernity, that when cash-strapped Saab came to replacing it in the late 1970s, it took the 99's centre section, added a new nose and dashboard, and renamed it the 900. And it went on for another 15 years...  But rather like the later 900, there's an inherent sexiness to the 99 in its go-faster versions.

  • HRDC Comes to Donington 3 Jun 2012 (News)
These mini-enduros are joined for the first time by HRDC 'TC65', which should see the return of the mighty 'big banger' Galaxies, Mustangs and Falcons and the feisty 'Homologation Specials' such as the Lotus Cortinas, GTAs, 1800 Beemers and Cooper 'S' Minis, all of which will undoubtedly be sliding, slithering and slugging it out down Donington's buttock-clenching Cramer Curves in fine style! HRDC's regular 30-minute race format remains for 'Grand Touring Greats', 'MGB50' - which will again include classes for selected historic MGs - and finally 'TC63' - the series for early-1960s touring cars.
