Spider, which achieved $27,500,000 at RM’s 2013 Monterey sale, maintaining the record for the most valuable road-going Ferrari sold at auction. The firm has also sold one of three 1964 Ferrari 275 GTB/C Speciale sold for $26,400,000 at the same event in 2014.

    Highlights inlcueed a 1995 Porsche 911 GT2, which made £1.8m - a record for a Porsche 911 GT2 at public auction. A 1993 Porsche 911 Turbo S Lightweight made £974,400 - a world record for a 964 series Porsche 911 at auction. And a 1993 Porsche 911 Carrera RS fetched £716,800 – setting yet another auction benchmark for the model.

    Giugiaro was careful to ensure that it featured prominent ‘haunches’, a design signature that was consistent on all post-war Jaguars, barring the XJ-S.     .  If you own a K-reg Carina E you can check if it is a British-built model or one of a few imported from Japan by looking at the the VIN plate, which is located under the bonnet near the windscreen wiper. If the code starts with S it’s a British-built car, while J indicates a Japanese one. Owners of the oldest examples will be invited to tell the car’s story and have it photographed. They will also be in with the chance of winning a week with the all-new upcoming Auris, which was first shown at this year's Paris Motor Show.
