Jaguar XF - Using wyns diesel particulate filter cleaner 22 May 2015 (Forum)
Hello, I have been having problems with the DPF clogging up and alarming and have started to use wyns diesel particulate filter cleaner , adding it every month. This seems to be working really well as I have had no more alarms but this treatment is not recognised by Jaguar and I am worried that I may invalidate my warranty. -

Ford Focus - 2.0TDCI vs 1.6TDCI reliability 22 Nov 2013 (Forum)
I'm looking at buying a 2.0TDCI Focus 2009 with 54K and ford FSH, but seeing all the bad stories about the 1.6 has put me off a bit . Is the 2.0 TDCI likely to throw up the same issues as the 1.6 TDCI re: the DPF etc? Cheers, Tim (i also posted on the technical forum in error - sorry) -
Skoda Octavia - diesel or petrol reliability 16 Nov 2012 (Forum)
I am seeking some advice on whether its better to buy a petrol Octavia over a diesel. My main worry with the diesel is the usual dpf, dmf and injector problems. I do about 40k a year and get paid 20p a mile fuel plus a monthly payment. I can't afford the new CR diesel and so it would be a PD if I bought one. Any advice would be appreciated. -
Diesel engine filtering atmosphere at 0.06 28 Aug 2012 (Forum)
But that said, always take it up to 4,000 revs once, on every hot engine trip. Sad that later incarnations are fitted with a DPF, but I suppose they are even better on the emissions test. Are they? -
08 Ford Mondeo Estate titanium 1.8 TDI - Nobody has been able to diagnose problem - HELP! 2 Jul 2020 (Forum)
However, this morning i was driving my son to school and the car went into engine malfunction, limp home mode doing 20mph around residential areas. 4 - DPF clean - After extensive googling and speak to people, it sounded like the DPF filter needed to be cleaned. All of the symptoms matched up, and my handbook said my car had a DPF filter fitted but when i got it to halfords, they said i did not have a DPF filter. -

Choosing an SUV for long drives? 28 Jun 2023 (Forum)
I was disappointed to discover that recent versions of the Honda CR-V are not available in diesel, and I am concerned about getting a bad DPF if I get a used diesel. I'm also a bit concerned about DPF theft. I am aware of the CR-V, RAV4, Kodiaq, Sportage, Kuga, CX-5, CX-60, XC40, XC60, XC90. I have test driven several of these and I have no real complaints, aside from poor fuel efficiency on some – particularly new petrol and hybrid CR-Vs. -
Mazda 3 2.2 Sport Nav '17 - Mazda 3 2.2 Skyactiv Diesel Facelift issues 27 Apr 2022 (Forum)
Is there anything I need to watch out for? I always use premium diesel and I assume it's cleaner and prevents DPF and Injector blockages, somewhat? Be honest, if I've made a mistake I'll get rid but I'm hoping I've done the right thing. It's done 47k with full Mazda history and is on a 17 plate.
