`Luxury bloat` small cars, to efficiency priority? 2 May 2008 (Forum)
It seems that current European `small` cars are fine in the current (or was that last month) want for `luxury small`, but are still larger and bloated in weight than they could be if fuel economy and low purchase cost were paramount. Will the new fuel prices bring about austerity super economical models? Fuel consumption before weigh, bloat and.. dare I say it, aircon ;) Any thoughts? -

Hi, I was hoping someone could help shed some light on the issue I am having with a y reg diesel fiesta Turbo Diesel. It has not been started in over a year but was running ok before it was taken off the road. I got it transported to my garage last week and fitted a new battery and glow plugs to it. -

Does anyone know a good diesel specialist (preferably in Essex area) that can replace the seals? The fuel pump is the Bosche unit fitted to these engines. How much is it likely to cost? Thanks -
Focus has gone fuel bonkers 30 Apr 2007 (Forum)
(GPS and speedo verified). These figures are around 10% more than I use to get. I've check the trip computer, fuel fill up tank to tank and mileage etc. The car is a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi 109 and using BP ultimate diesel. Is anyone else getting these kinds of economy returns from their TD's ? Any ideas ? -

Could the earlier low mpg be to do with the fact that the car has never probably been driven, if it has only ever pootled to the shops and back? On Fri night I filled it to the brim, I put so much in I could see the fuel at the top of fuel pipe. I then drove home and parked it on my drive, which it at a slight angle so that the front of the car is higher than the rear. On Sat it had leaked fuel onto the drive, it looked like it came from a pipe near the rear axel, a pipe covered with this foam sleeve. -
