  I have brought a ka from my neighbour but she can't find the code for the stereo. I just need to listen to the radio back and forth from work and if i get lucky i might be able to dig out a few old cassette tapes from the garage to play. I got a code 1915 from a Ford dealer but it isnt working when entered. Serial Number off stereo is M005509, model is 5000NE.

  Hi, after reading some other messages in the forum I to have the same problem. I tried following the steps of holding down buttons 1 and 6 to access my radio code for my ford transit 6000CD player. Upon my findings here are the numbers that I found, FB050208, SWP14C044, BL020405, FDV2007, VO25557 and SWP1-6CIT. Please can someone help me access the code for my stereo as I am at my wits end driving in silence lol !

  I've tried reconnecting the radio/CD player, I have the code but as I misdialed it it now says 'wait'. I know this is normal, the manual says it will clear and come up with 'code' after it's been left on for a while, however it's just displaying 'wait' all the time.

  Can anyone tell me which sony 10 cd changer I need for my qx 3 litre v6 auto as it is missing from this car. all leads and head unit are in situ and radio works fine but the radio hanbook doesnt specify which radio ive got nor is there a model number on it,(other than sony) will any sony disc changer work ?   I recently changed my headunit, and doing so noticed that the plug on the aerial wire was broken, so I put a new one on from Maplins I can now get FM radio stations, but the signal is not great, but still get no MW reception - all i hear are strange noises. Is there anything I can do to improve matters? The car has a standard bee-sting aerial on the roof.

  Hi I recently bought a 2nd hand volvo S80 which is fine apart from the radio which although produces great FM reception has very intermittent AM reception (which is annoying as I listen to Talksport). When the car hasn't been used for a while the output is fine but after having the engine running for a while the output degrades into a sea of static noises completely drowning out the station.

  Hi, Ive just been given an old K-Reg Citroen AX and I went into Halfords to try and get the stereo upgraded. However, due to an odd sized facia (or something) they wont do it. The stereo (cassette/radio) doesnt actually work and I do want some music in the car as I drive! What do you recommend I do! Im a Uni Student and this is my first car, so not really sure what to do about the stereo, as apparently the local citreon dealership are a bunch of cowboys.

  Much though I want an autochanger, I'm not prepared to pay Honda dealers £500 to fit their version i.e. about £300 over the odds. Alternatively, does anyone know how to remove the radio/CD player and then I can see what connections are available? (Yes I know the control panel is unique to the radio.) I've had a brief look but it seems as if Honda started with the radio and built the car around it.

  Dont think the previous stereo used the display as various coloured wires in the loom are taped up. Anyone know what colour of wires go into the top connector on the back? Dont have the radio in front of me but I think the top connection(goes to the in-dash display) has three or four pins... Cheers for any help on this one! Murray

  My son wants to replace the radio/single CD audio unit (Delco ) with a Kenwood Radio/Cassette unit (that came from his old car) which will also control a multi changer CD player unit . What will happen to the current display screen (time/temperature and radio tuning info) if the system is changed?

  Hello Not sure if anyone can help with this, but thought I would give it a shot. My missus bought above car a few weeks back. The radio/cd player will not pick up any radio staions on any frequency.  CD is fine. White noise comes out of speakers when manually trying to tune.  Once, she reckons she could hear Clasic FM away in the distance.

  l have a vauxhall astra envoy 8v estate. the problems are. the battrey goes flat when car is left standing after 2 days. l have a radio which someone put in before l brought the car. the radio is conected to the battery , so l can work the radio without starting the engine. is this way the battery goes flat. l take the front cover off the radio when car is not in use and there is a little flashing red light behind it. another problem l have is just latley the engine electronics immobilizer light comes on after driving the car for about half hour.
