  I have got a Mazda MX6 with 4ws and power steering.The problem i have is that the steering will not self center.Any suggestions?

  The Megane has a large boot and I recently picked up my wife's brother, his wife and daughter plus two big suitcases and one medium sized - without problem. Engineer Andy has given me a lot of help with  the Mazda 3 saloon and I would value any further feedback comparing the Renault Megane 1.6, Toyota Avensis 1.8 and Mazda 3 1.6 saloons, all 08 moidels,  to guide me to which would be the one to go for.

  My wifes car needs replacing with a mid size petrol car to do 5K miles a year with a budget of 12K to keep for 8 years. I would expect back room advice would say get a Mazda 3 with the 2 litre engine, the 12K budget brings in 3-4 year old examples of this. The dilemma is that Motorpoint have a good supply of <1 year old Astra SRi for £9.5K with the 1.4 turbo engine which should be more satisfying to drive and a better spec with DAB etc which is missing from the Mazda at this budget.

  Surprising to learn that Renault and Peugeot do quite well. Ford and Vauxhall have a decent showing. Mazda do very well. However, on the forum the current thinking is; don't touch French cars (dodgy electrics), Vauxhall (only average) and Mazda(diesels are rubbish). Maybe these manufacturers have turned a corner concerning production and quality control.
