Mazda 6 - 2006 Mazda 6 Diesel low performance, no CEL 3 Jul 2021 (Forum)
I got P0402 (EGR excessive flow) code once, I was cruising on highway in 6th speed and TCS + CEL came on dashboard, checked it on OBD reader, cleared and never seen it again. My only guess is that DPF is clogged, but I don't get DPF warning light. Sometimes I get double digits on current consumption, just in case it helps to sort out this issue. Any help would be very appreciated. Sorry for the long post and thanks. -

Any - How long does an exhaust pipe last? 7 Oct 2023 (Forum)
I’ve owned cars for 30 odd years now and in that time, I’ve replaced one exhaust pipe on a Japanese import Nissan Figaro that we’ve had for 18 years. Have had both petrol and diesel cars (pre DPF, with a nice lining of soot in the exhaust and with DPFs) and in perhaps 350,000 miles over that 30 odd years, aside from one exhaust for the Figaro, I’ve never replaced any exhaust components, even on cars that I’ve run for longer than 10 years. -
Honest John's Motoring Agony Column 09-02-2019 Part 1 12 Feb 2019 (Forum)
Indeed, the questioner says it was purchased with an MOT. Isn't emissions part of the MOT test? If the DPF had been cut in half and internals removed, should the car have passed an MOT? It may well have been something that was overlooked on the MOT, but questioner had been driving the car for 6mth / 8000miles without error. -
ford focus diesel tdci - focus help 25 Nov 2017 (Forum)
Where to start, 3 weeks ago my 1.6 diesel focus TDCI went in to limp mode... took it to the garage and codes read DPF filter, i had i chemically flushed and all was well. yesterday went into limp mode again displaying Engine systems fault, so back to the garage. the mechanic who i know is very experienced and trustworthy ran another diagnostic this time dpf, power steering, battery and alternator codes have came up, he has check these faults and they are all fine, he seems to think this could be a software problem or a wiring issue, i told him i did not want to spent hundreds on this car valuved at £1000 so he advised me to fined a mechanic who will fiddle around with the software and maybe to BLOCK the codes from coming up and sending it into limp mode. -
VW Amarok 2012 - Warer pump failed Limp mode 18 Jul 2017 (Forum)
They said the water pump has gone and is covered but my DPF needs degenerating and my air filter is soiled so needs replacing. These 2 are not covered under warranty. Surely all the faults are related to each other and they should be paying for all repairs? -
