  He's thinking of a used (yr 2000 on model) Toyota Celica although he doubts he'll be able to find one at this price/age/low mileage. I've suggested a Mazda 6. What do 'the panel' recommend?

  Warning I am not a mechanic but it worked for me. I am not advising anyone to do this and there is no come back to me if it goes wrong but it worked...

  It still did this after repeated start ups etc, and so was advised to take it back in to the garage (had car for about 2 hours!). They advised me they were sending it to Mazda to 'strip it down' and supposedly check everything was ok, (I have since spoken to Mazda who confirm they did have the car but according to their system they never touched it!) I got my car back after about 2 weeks and all seemed well for the next month or two.

  Hi all, Back in April in bought a 2013 Mazda 6, great (or so I thought) condition, fairly low mileage. Last week i had a very slow moving accident as I was coming out of my drive and bumped another car. Very little damage but the assessment is that I need a new bumper.

  I have a 2004 Mazda 6 with 50,000 miles on the clock. I have noticed there is a throbbing sort of womp womp womp womp noise coming from the front wheel area. It is most noticeable between 30 and 50mph, I can also feel a vibration through the floor and slightly through the steering wheel.

  Hi, my mazda 6 diesel 2005 plate, has been making a noise near the fan belt area, i have seen my self the tensioner shaking badly well anyway.....way back in the winter the belt on the tensioner was just squeaking but after buying a new tensioner which i found out was for the wrong car (i didnt install it) but putting the old tensioner with a new drive belt then i switched the car back on and it started to make a horrible noise which was unbearable i got angry and hit the tensioner whilst the car was running and the noise became BEARABLE!!!.....

  i am having an intermittent starting problem with my mazda mx5 icon.it only happens when the car has been warmed up and running for about 10 minutes.it starts 1st time every morning or if it has been sitting for 1 hour or more.the problem only happens once the car has been running and then parked for about 10 -20 minutes.the car will turn over but wont start or on the odd occasion it will start but appears not to firing on all cylinders but this normally clears after a couple of minutes.I have taken the car to 2 garages but because it is so intermittent they can not find the fault, also no error codes coming up on the computer.Could it possibly be the coil pack if it only happens once it is warmed up?

  Hello everyone, I have bought a Mazda Cx-5 from 2013 with about 65,000 miles on end of November last year, in January i did a full service on the car at a Main dealer then the month after i was coming home from work and suddenly a warning light came on indicating low pressure, and the car lost power, i managed to get the car on the side of the road and i was hearing a loud knocking com ing from the engine, i recovered it to where i did the service and they mentioned i will need a new engine, as it costs alot, i've been back and forth with the dealer where i got the car from and they mentioned they can't help me with it.

  Is this likely to be the catalyst failing/blocking or should I be looking at other areas too? The Mazda 3 has two cats, one in the exhaust manifold and one under the car, as far as I can see there are two sensors, pre-cat in manifold and post cat (2nd cat), I’ve yet to check the temperatures either side of the cats.

  heard noisy on motorway  honda crv... seems boring to drive? kia sportage.. but the ex wife has one . mazda 6, love it and leaning towards one but heard reliability apparently not good hyundai tucson and seat ateca. Appreciate its quite a list and open to suggestions as none of the above standing out and I don't claim to be knowledgeable about cars.

  Its a while since Ive bought direct through the market and my budget is very limited <£2000 I wondered how the following early models would compare or if worth considering if going for a replacement rather than repair. Honda Civic 1.6 i VTEC SE or the Mazda 2 1.6 Capella or 1.4 TDS (2004) or the SEAT or the Ford Focus 1.6 I tend to favour around the 1.6 anything higher I have always considered less economical (older cars remember) and unnecessary and the smaller not enough umph Opinions most welcome

  Hi. Wondered if anyone else has had experience of this. Bought low mileage  Mazda 2 Sport, April 08 reg., from local branch of Bristol Street Motors, in August 2011. Nice car, no probs at all. Had it serviced last year by my local friendly garage. This year I was persuaded to try a 'fixed price' servicing deal at BS Motors.

  I'm losing patience with the Focus, I've thrown quite a bit of cash at it; my own car is a 1999 Mazda 323, which seems to just keep on keeping on. Maybe I've been spoilt with the Mazda - expecting a Focus to have similar reliability? Am thinking of maybe getting rid of the Focus and getting a Mazda 3 instead!

  Good day! I have a problem with my Mazda 121 (basically a ford fiesta). It has the endura -e engine. When I am driving, and I step on my clutch to change gears or to free, my rev counter needle sometimes drops really really fast (like its weighing 5 pounds) down to 500rpm and then comes back up to about 950rpm.

  Hi, some words of advice from the experts please. We have a 1989 Mazda MX5 Japanese import which has a Texalarm ATX16 alarm/immobiliser fitted. It is an aftermarket item rather than an original fitment judging by the wiring This device seems to have failed leading to us not being able to start the car at all, even if we just reconnect the battery the alarm goes off.
