Ford Mondeo Mk II - Low brake pedal 7 Jul 2010 (Forum)
I changed the front brake pads, a job I have done successfully before. Now I find a very low brake pedal. It seems to recover on "pumping" but only temporarily. This was not present with the old pads. I have tried bleeding brakes but this makes no difference. -

trailers, braked or unbraked ? 5 Apr 2003 (Forum)
I just got a tow bar fitted, 110 quid for my Ford Focus with single electrics. I'm looking in the local adtrader, some trailers are braked and some not. What kind of brakes are we talking about ? How do they work, and do they require maintenance ? Are they only required for heavy work ? Does single electrics support braked trailers ? -
Vectra brakes 1 Apr 2003 (Forum)
Hi I fitted new disc and pads to the front of our Vauxhall Vectra recently. The fitting was really easy, but now Im hearing some brake squeal when braking at low speeds around town. I tried some copper slip on the metal parts touching the caliper (being very careful not to foul the brake surfaces) but to no evail. The anti squeal shims are in place but seem not to be doing their job right. -

Grating brakes on MX-5 5 Feb 2004 (Forum)
I have a problem with my 2001/Y MX-5 1.6 that's driving me potty and I wonder if anyone can help. When braking and steering (for example when turning into a side road or negotiating a mini roundabout), I get a hideous grating, creaking noise from under the car. I can't tell whether it's from the front or back, but it doesn't happen when I brake without steering or steer without braking. -
