  • Peugeot 307 Estate - Water getting in to footwell 26 May 2015 (Forum)
Our car (6 years old) has recently started letting water into the drivers side footwell. This has happened twice, first time after washing the car and second time after a heavy downpour.  We have assumed it is running down windscreen and is supposed to drain out.
  • Swing Wide Stupid Chariot... 9 Dec 2009 (Forum)
I wonder sometimes if I was the only person who was taught that if you wait until the corner is level with your left hand windscreen pillar you can turn left without swinging the car to the right and into oncoming traffic, or me if I'm passing them on a dual carriageway... (PS I'm refering to car and small van drivers here!!)

  • Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 04 1.8 Air con only runs warm. 25 Jun 2009 (Forum)
I went out and bought the shims and began to follow the advice people had given which was to take off drivers wheel, remove lower plastic splash guard and the pulley in front of you will have a disc on the front which you can turn by hand freely so you need to wedge a screwdriver into it so as you can undo the nut and remove the disc to get to the shims. Well thats where my problem starts because when i removed the plastic splash guaurd neither of the 2 pulleys that faced me was the one people mentioned, instead the pulley with the freely spinning disc was right over to the right hand side and virtually impossible to get at to stop the disc from turning without trying to undo the nut aswell.

  • Mirror heater elements 29 Sep 2006 (Forum)
Hi, Does anyone know if you can buy aftermarket heating element pads for door mirrors. I own a 23 year old Rover SD1 Vitesse which is in pretty good nick. The heating elements on the backs of the door mirrors have succumbed to corrosion after all this time, but with winter approaching, fog free mirrors are a godsend.

  • Frosty morons 18 Feb 2003 (Forum)
Still can't believe people are stoopid enough to drive with the rear window completely frosted up, both rear side windows frosted, passenger window frosted, windscreen frosted - with a small 'seal' hole scraped from which to peer through, and most of the drivers window frosted. Absolute morons. Saw several today including one beemer (! like I should be surprised) which drove past a police car and the rozza cared not a jot.

  • Audi 80 7 Jun 2002 (Forum)
My local garage decided that I should have the engine jet washed to locate exactly where the oil was coming from - big mistake!!! Ever since then when the car starts up in the morining and the choke is on it is fime, however, if after it has heated up and you swithch the engine off and restart it the engine misfire and splutters abusively for a couple of minutes before it settles down.

  • Mk5 Escort problems 24 May 2003 (Forum)
The car runs fine anyway, and I don't think headgaskets are prone to failure on the Zetec, fingers crossed, hopefully just a small leak from a pipe. Also, the rear wiper doesn't work, I haven't had time to try and diagnose it yet, the only thing that I noticed was that when my aunt used the front windscreen wash, the wipers didn't move, she had to switch them on herself.
