  • Renault Clio - Renault Retail Group, long distance selling 14 Apr 2015 (Forum)
I decided that i wasn't going to buy a car from Renault Retail Group, But after looking at the Renault Retail Group web site, i found a Renault Clio 1.5 dci 90 dynamique medianav S energy 5dr with 6000 miles on the clock at the Birmingham Renault Retail group, So i contacted the dealership and I asked if their was any body work damage or stone chips on the Clio since I was let down by the Liverpool dealership recently after been told that the car was in showroom condition and that I found 2 dents in the body work and I stressed this to the salesman and the salesman told me that the car was in mint condition and that the body work was immaculate and he told me to trust him on this.

  • Private Cash for Public Roads 23 Mar 2012 (Forum)
Labour leader Ed Miliband: "People are struggling to make ends meet" Alasdair Reisner, from the Civil Engineering Contractors' Association, told BBC Radio 4's Today programme that one option was a system of "shadow tolls", whereby the motorist does not pay the cost but private firms are paid by the government depending on the amount of traffic using a road.
  • Volkswagen Passat - Consumer Advice Req - 2 Breakdowns in 10 weeks 31 Jan 2011 (Forum)
The car is very rough when idling, which is what it was doing before the no 2 injector failed. The car was returned to me last Monday, but I had a Ford S-Max on demo last week, so didn't drive my own car for 6 days. When I tried to start it yesterday the battery was dead. Jumped the car, went for a ride to charge it, but it was dead again this morning, which suggests to me that there is a short somewhere.
  • Showroom appeal - when does the shine wear off? 5 May 2009 (Forum)
Unless you spend the night before your trip compiling an iTunes playlist, the only sensible way to select your listening material is to select it before you plug the Pod in. The T3's audio system sounds pretty duff too - and it doesn't manage to maintain tune with an RDS FM station on a long journey. This amounts to a long list of minor gripes about what is, for the most part, a pretty well thought-out and commodious family car, that we still plan to keep for a long time.
  • Citroen C4 Picasso 5-st (2007 - ) - Quick review (well, rant) 28 Mar 2009 (Forum)
These cars (and most cars now) are great for the first three years when you can take then to a dealer and get them reset for free, but they are so unnecessarily complicated that software glitches will cost you real £££s down the line. In terms of making use of the technology, they need to hire someone who understands what gives useful and clear and rational help rather than leaving it to the nerds who can program to make some random decisions that spoil the experience.
  • Hyundai i30 (2007 - ) - Review 20 Apr 2008 (Forum)
It is unobtrusive but the plastics are good and the fittings excellent, with some nice touches like the double-lidded armrest between the front seats with a small picnic table under the top lid and, below that, a capacious locker for camera, mobile phones etc. with a connection for i-Pods (USB cable supplied). The ashtray is illuminated (there?s posh!). Another nice touch is a parking or credit card holder just inside the lockable glove box. The latter can be cooled but there is a thoughtful warning that condensation might ?spoil your pieces of paper?.
  • C4 Picasso 6 Apr 2007 (Forum)
I find the exterior to be quite good looking, but then I think Citroen put a lot of style into their cars ? getting in and out is like most MPV?s being higher it is easier for those with reduced mobility. Once inside the first thing that struck me was how light and airy the interior was, this was even though the seat fabric was a dark grey/black.

With four previous successful start-ups to his name and a victory for GoinGreen in the 2004 Startup Awards, Mr Johnston has the credentials for success. So too do the company?s founders: Nick Hewson was co-founder and chairman of Grantchester and Steve Cain was chief executive of Carlton Communications. The founders encountered a prototype of the Californian-designed electric car four years ago when travelling in India.

And then you wonder why you don't have money for a time after hours. Ford You still live in the 70's, trying to cope with the new millennium. A loyal, diligent worker, but baffled by office politics and labour policies. Next car will probably also be a Ford. Holden You are the ultimate on-road idiot.
  • Grrrrr 19 Nov 2001 (Forum)
After 900 miles around UK in this lump it was a great relief to get back to Manila, board the Better Half (by now the Bitter Half)'s Ford Lynx 1.6, zip away from the car park with a tropical spec aircon blasting ice-cold air, room to move one's corpus, plenty of space for the luggage, and to be thankful for being reminded of the American interpretation of what automobile travel should be about.

  • BMW X1, Mercedes GLA, Audi Q3 - X1 vs GLA vs Q3 8 Feb 2016 (Forum)
The way the steering feels and responds is brilliant. It totally took the effort out of driving, especially when combined with the S-Tronic gearbox! I totally recommend test-driving this before deciding. Less impressive things on this one were the cabin, I mean it really feels premium and every button/click-wheel feels Audi-tastic but the layout feels dated now.
