Corsa B 1996 1.5TD - Corsa B 1.5TD Heater Problems 29 Jan 2011 (Forum)
Hi, I have a corsa b 1.5TD suddenly the heater stopped blowing out hot air, i have replaced the thermostat a new heater matrix and flushed out the old cooland and replaced with new anti-freeze. I now have heat, but only when i accelerate 2krpm and above when i leave the car to idle for 20mins the temperature doesnt rise but as soon as a accelerate it does and i have heat. I have bled the system and cant think what else this could be ? -

As per the subject line, the wife's car has overheated on the way to work this morning (ebgine warning light came on as well). She managed to nurse it in, by stopping every time it started get get too hot. I checked the radiator and filled it up earlier in the week with anti-freeze and she checked the expansion tank this morning, so it isn't lack of coolant. -

A package steam boiler can achieve around 75% efficiency with good maintenance and the rest goes up through the chimney or in radiation losses. I?m sure someone will know what percentage efficiency a car engine can achieve. and is perhaps even less than this but with modern advances in such things as condensing boilers utilising heat previously wasted up the flue, there just may be some better use than pushing it out of the exhaust pipe. -

very nice, roomy, well-finished, lots of thoughtful touches, plenty of storage space (esp for drinks!). The leather is not the best I?ve ever seen but is ok, and I?m looking forward to trying out the heated front seats when the weather gets a bit cooler. Good stereo ? easy to use and nice sound, powerful. Big boot. On the road ? assured, comfortable and solid feeling. Obviously, I?m running it in and taking it easy (controversial, I know!) -
Removing Stubborn Stain On Rubber Trims 4 Nov 2003 (Forum)
Recently I noticed that some rubber trimmings around my car has dirt stains which is so difficult to be removed. Quite visible around the windscreen weather strips. How could I remove these stain and preserve them from getting more in the near future. Thanks. -

The front street is just as bad, (although a bit wider) but when two cars park opposite one another, the road is totally blocked, the residents know this, and accept it, we think nothing of having to go out and move our cars to let other folk in or out, tis life around here as we live it! -
Peugeot 106 1.5D 95' - Heated Window lead broken from window - Any Idea? 5 Jul 2021 (Forum)
Evening all, had good advice here is past and wandered if anyone knows how to fix this one? The lead got snagged at one point and the copper cable that had a solder join to the heated rear window matrix came away. I've never yet found a way to reconnect it. Anyway know any way to do that? I tried a solder paint some years back but it lasted maybe 2 days. Don't expect many answers tonight with the footy on. -

I'm having a problem with my 2000 W-Reg Jaguar S-Type - Basically, the heating system doesn't work. The A/C works, and all the rest, but when you put the setting to warm, cold air comes out. No matter what setting you use, it's still cold air that comes out, and I've tried various combinations to make sure that there is no other way to make it work. -

The fault is intermittent but annoying enough to need fixing. The car is a fairly recent purchase and has only covered 6,500m from new and is otherwise fine. Electrical problems are not my strong suit so I would much appreciate any advice, guidance or a pointer in the right direction. -
