VW PASSAT - Heated Mirrors 7 Oct 2001 (Forum)
As an owner of a 2000 model year VW PASSAT 1.8 Estate, I have found that the "heated" mirrors do not appear to operate efficiently. I asked the franchised dealer to check them last service but they responded that they were working OK. I wonder has anyone experienced a similar problem? -

Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 2001 1.6 quick to heat up 5 Jan 2009 (Forum)
hi have read as many other posts as i can find, all with similar symptoms to myself. recently car has been quick to heat up, temp gauge goes from zero to midway first thing on a cold morning, doing about 30-40 for a mile and a half. gauge stays at midpoint whatever the driving conditions, some of my journey is 60 (ish !) -
Spare Wheels 3 May 2005 (Forum)
Did early cars not have boots, or not big enough for a wheel? Or was running gear so much more complex? I realise that some early cars were rear engined but I am not so sure if they all were? [This was prompted by my son looking at old cars and discussing them with me. -

Car speakers ? 17 Jun 2003 (Forum)
I remember some time ago, a system where the speakers for the car radio/tape player were replaced by using the inside of the windscreen to transmit the sound. Does anyone remember this please, or was it just a flash in the pan ? Thank you, petel@clara.co.uk -
Ford Focus - 59 reg - Windscreen washer not working 18 Aug 2015 (Forum)
Hi Everyone A few weeks ago I noticed that the jet of water coming out of the windscreen wasker spouts had lost some power - the water was barely hitting the screen. A couple of times it took a few presses of the button on the streering wheel to get some water out (and annoyingly the wipers themselves were going at it on a dry windscreen making it even harder to see!). -

Peugeot 306 - 1.4 - Y Reg - Electrical fault - Indicators and Wipers 21 Feb 2012 (Forum)
First fault is with the indicators; they turn on but the bulbs don't flash, they just stay illuminated until i turn them off. However they do flash when i unlock the car! The second fault is with the windscreen wipers. They turn on and off as told, but don't return to the start position automatically, they just stutter across the windscreen as if they are trying to find their home. -
Wiper Blades 15 Nov 2007 (Forum)
http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/wiper_blade_test.php When it has just started to drizzle a bit starting with a dry windscreen, it wipes ok. However, if I start off the car after a heavy downpour, with a fully wet windscreen, the driver's side wiper in particular tends to judder badly. Might there be any explanation for this ? -
Ford Fiesta (2008) - Fiesta - overheating, radiator leak...gasket gone? 15 Mar 2013 (Forum)
I stopped driving when the temp gauge shot up, and we put warm water into the coolant tank and that seemed to solve the problem sufficiently for me to get the last mile or so to my parents' house. I had a long journey in front of me so I called the RAC to come out and look at it. The engineer took the car a short drive and concluded that it seemed to be fine i.e. it was no longer over-heating. I was a bit uneasy about driving it, despite his assessment, so after further discussions, he agreed to follow me into his garage (about 10 miles away) and he would check the car over there again before I continued my journey to Glasgow (over 100 miles). -
