• Vauxhall Zafira A (1999 - 2005) - 2001 2.0 Access to wiring inside o/s rear door pil 1 Mar 2009 (Forum)
  Can anybody give me an idea on how to remove the blue cap through which the wiring loom runs through on the rear o/s passenger door of a Zafira? I have an issue with the locking and I believe it could be something to do with the wiring running through the door, but I am unable to remove this cap.

  Hi guys, here go's........all dash lights and clocks stop working.......next a.m. all come back on........but the symbol for the air bag now stays on when engine running..........although the written warning comes on and go's off as normal!! This happend about a month ago everything else appears OK and to be working running fine...........and not had any other problems with her.

  Hi there i have just got my car started again after needing a new coil pack and after also running out of petrol now i have changed that and toped up the fuel the revs on idle are to high is there a simple explenation for this or does this sound like a sensor of some kind. I took it out for a run in the hope that it may drop back to normal but to no avail ??

  Hi, On my 306 when the weather is very wet I get loads of water running out of the sunroof / remote locking console on the "ceiling". It all runs out of the switches when I pull away. The aerial has had some type of silicone added when it was put on ages ago so it shouldnt be getting in there.

  The fans come on but thats it. I have tested the compresor by putting live to it when the engine is running and the system works and cools. There is no power out of the plug to the compresor when switch is activated. any ideas??? Is there a fuse that runs the system or maybe a relay.

  Its going to be another 2 months before I can drive again. Its a 1999 1.8 Vectra. When I start to drive it again how should I do it? Take it for a long run straight away, short runs, pump the brakes, kick the bumper?? I have no idea... thats why I'm asking (",)

  Hi, I have been running the car for a couple of weeks and recently it has startted to judder when I am coasting in gear, approaching lights etc, it runs ok at speed but when i take my foot off the accelerator it will judder and the orange light comes on. i have changed the air idle control valve and replaced the plugs......can you help please.

  Purchased the car from AMS of Grimbsy. They are the nearest but are too far to travel back to once more to have yet another running fault rectified. All is fine on petrol. LPG - juddering, loss of power, poor fuel consumption and it started badly kangarooing when running on LPG yesterday.

  Although Jaguar/Land Rover were no longer British companies for a long time, but the recent acquisition made me wondering, with many others, why Britain can't run a successful automotive industry! I think we can't just argue over cost perspective citing India/China because similar economy countries like Germany, USA, Czech Rep, Spain, France, Japan etc. can all successfully run their own automotive business.

  yesterday when i removed the sump i had to drop the exhaust pipe off the manifold for access, i undid the 3 bolts holding it together and when i parted the join there was no gasket or anything in fact , should there be something there? it doesnt blow or run noisy at all but i did notice that when you cover the ex/pipe end with my hand it doesnt build up pressure in the pipe when the engines running...thanks Missing MK. sorted MJ - other post will be deleted PU

  I have a 1997 Astra merit 1.7 TD. It will start from cold and then runs fine but if I stop the engine, I have to let it go completely cold before it will start again. At first I thought it could be fuel starvation due to a clogged filter, so I fitted a new filter but this just seemed to make it run a little better, it hasn't solved the starting problem.

  I have recently had my car converted to run on LPG by a certified garage the car is a 2004 jag x type 3 litre the problem is 1) the engine cuts out very rarley when slowing down and generally after long journey 2) when switched over to petrol after running on gas there can be sudden power loss garage has done 2 software upgrades anyone any idea what problem could be?

  When I took the switch apart to see the problem I was presented with a circuit board (the car is 02 with air con). If I remove the circuit board from the car it runs cold in the cabin. Having replaced it back in the car it is now running cold all the time ? I have not replaced the fuse at this point. Any ideas? Thanks Burt

  I know he's very limited with his choice but hopefully you guys would be able to suggest something. He just needs a small cheap to run car for deliveries. His preferences are as follows Reliable Cheap to run (good mpg, cheaper insurance group etc..) I've suggested him Micra, Fiesta, Corsa and Punto. Which one would you suggest from the above or if you know anything better than this and why?

  -Classic O2 sensor problems but no ML light on, so I swapped for a 'used one' from the breakers.Car runs perfect for two miles,problem comes back, then ML light comes on!Flashed the codes and got O2 sensor fault-Damn, wasted a Tenner.   Recently tickover has become uneven, and when engine has been working hard for ten minutes or so, it dies and won't start. Good spark, fuel pump running and there is fuel at the engine. Leave it for ten minutes or so and it will start and run normally. It only seems to happen when it's been working hard for a bit. With normal gentle driving it seems ok.
