  My car has developed a curious fault, being that the front windscreen wipers start to operate at random while the car is stationary, locked and alarmed (ie. fully immobilised).  When the car has been parked for a while inevitably the battery becomes flat with one occasion when the alarm activated (am unsure if this was due to external interference though).

  Our car has done some 44000 miles and the front pads need to be changed. However, during the inspection the discs were badly grooved and need to be replaced. I cannot remove the discs from the hubs they appear to be rusted on!

  I managed to get a First Edition model which has every conceivable option on it.To name a few it has a power tailgate,electric memory seats,sunroof,heated seats in the front and rear,heated steering wheel,cooled seats,digital dash board and every safety item such as blind spot monitoring,lane keep assist,collision avoidance etc. It comes with front and rear parking sensors and camera and even parks itself!.

    4 Ran B-Max for 3weeks with NO start /stop and minimal other drain on system and the above was repeated-did not re charge battery with smart charger-just let car take care of charging.   5 My conclusion is that the B-Max only ever maintains the battery at 12.3 volts, about 60-70% of full charge. Then gradually decays to a charge of 12.2 volts approx. 50 % of full charge depending on type of use – short journeys, front /rear windscreen heater or start stop used.

  Just purchased a 2003 FORD MONDEO 2.0TDCi 130 LX 5dr [6] Diesel Hatchback, which is a great car and the aircon and heating sysytem are working, however, there is no air coming out of the front vents you aim at the body. The others appear to be working fine. Also when you turn the car on before starting the engine there is an electric noise which appears to be trying to regulate something, it also happens when you turn the car off, is this normal?

  It is reported in the Daily Mail that a pilot scheme in Merseyside, North Wales & Scotland is underway to slap prohibition notices on any vehicle with heavy tints on front side windows or windscreen. Scheme is to be rolled out natiomwide within months. It is long overdue. It is suggested that the trigger was a case in Feb where a biker was killed and the car driver allegedly did not see the bike due to tinted windows.

  i have just bought a peugeot 306 hdi meridian and i have noticed the front wipers are parking iraticley every time i try them, i have tryed changing the purple relays above the drivers footwell but this as made no differance, is there another relay and could it be the switch or the motor, the wipers work when thay are on normal speed and the washers are working but the wipers are iratic on that aswell, it is very confusing and i hope you can help me on this matter. thanks.

  This is probably an utterly dumb question, but could fellow backroomers enlighten me on the following. I've had some rattle coming from underneath the car for some time, only happens at around 1000 rpm. When doing MOT (at the dealer's) I asked them to have a look. They diagnosed it as front pipe heat shield corrosion. They also said I could just use hose clamp to fix it.

  Hi I have recently found that the rear. Centre brake light,the heated rear windscreen and the boot release catch which is pressed from the dashboard have all stopped working. Upon inspection after opening the tailgate I discovered the wiring loom had some broken wires,my question is it an easy job to cut back the exposed wires and join up again also will I have to disconnect the battery before tackling the job.

  I assume the water got in through the misfitting cowl panel/windscreen gap when the brushes forced it through. Is there any established way of getting these things to lie flat, or failing that is there a product I can use to re-seal the panel to the windscreen? The raised bit is directly in front of the driver and the gap is only a millimeter or two.

  HI i bought a mondeo 2 weeks ago and first off when drove in the rain i could hear the road noise (rain on road) from the passenger side of the car, so i noticed the passenger doors was slightly out of line, got that sorted, today i pulled the carpet up on that side a bit to have a nose, no idea what i am looking for but thought id look ;) as soon as i pulled carpet up a plug come up too so not sure if that was maybe loose or off before i pulled carpet up i am not sure, i also felt that sponge like material near front of footwell and that was wet, so i dont know where to start to find out what is happening, not sure if it would be from that drain hole in the floor, ps what the hell is that, i hope its meant to have a hole in the floor :P or whether from the front end of the car, i noticed the cowl bit if that is what it is called wasnt sealed to the windscreen on the passenger side but garage said that wont cause no problems the driver side is attached to windscreen but passenger isnt, can anyone help at all
