  Well, obviously there are a few (!) but the one that I'm interested in is that If anything strikes sharply the windscreen of a car when a French person is driving, they immediately press on the inside of the windscreen with their thumb or finger for a couple of seconds (this is when there is no visible damage by the way).

  Don`t you think modern cars are becoming more like `road slugs` in style when viewed from the side? Sure, there are short slugs and long slugs, but there you are peeping out of the little breathing hole in the side, with that enormous raked windscreen, raked almost to the horizontal in front of you and you have to do the limbo to get in under it.

  It's been fine until this morning (cold and frosty) and it wouldn't start again:   Nothing was left on overnight Engine didn't even attempt to tick over when I turned the ignition  Heated windcreen light has been on constantly for a few months but the heated windscreen isn't actually on   Can someone offer some advice?   I took it with mileage of 29 in Feb 2000, it had been sitting on a dealer forecourt for close on six months, so I got a good price. I've always followed Hon John's advice and changed the oil every 5k or six months and the car has never let me down in 173k.The trim that seals the front screen to the body now protrudes at both front top corners. The screen was replaced maybe fifteen years ago. The glass is fine, my question is, this plastic trim is quite solid, is there an adhesive that can be applied and it fix it back as water is now able to drain in behind the plastic.

  Have recently developed the above noise traced to the nearside front of the vehicle dashboard/ windscreen area. Have tried WD silicone spray with no luck. Can anyone assist before I speak to the dealer who was non BMW. Thank you
• Ford Mondeo Estate - Heated washer jets loom fault 10 Apr 2018 (Forum)
  I'm in Latvia at present and yesterday, upon starting my Mk III Mondeo TDCI, smoke issued from the bonnet, close to  the windscreen. Upon inspection, it appears the loom for the heated washer jets has burnt out. Wonder if anyone can copy that part of the circuit diagram for me, so I can rewire it when I've ascertained which jet/s need replacing, if any.

  When the sun gets on my windscreen, the suction cup for my dash camera comes adrift. Any ideas how to prevent this?

  there is no water coming out of my washer jets on the front. it still comes out onto the back window. i uncliped the hose that leads to the jet and tried to spray and no water came out. does anyone know wat could be doing this?

  advice wanted; Does the tinting on the rear screen & top of windscreeen affect the performance of in car cameras? Does a 'duo' windscreen mounted camera with supposed rear vision cap ability as well, really work effectively to record following traffic? (given that it has a clear field of vision).

• Pug 306 Heater 2 hot... 28 Dec 2001 (Forum)
  I've had it about 5 months and have noticed that the heater is always on 'red hot' no matter what setting the dial is on.... Basically, it changes heat with the rev's, can run hot or cold (usually hot) even when it is just 2 notches off the coldest setting (ie it will keepthe car warm at this setting when it's zero degrees outside!). Whenever I have it on the windscreen it seems to have different temp settings to when in the cabin.

  Apologies for being lazy and asking here rather than looking it up. I've got a left hand drive (European) VW Golf MK6 (1.6 TDi, Oct 2010). Are the front clip-on wiper blades identical to those on the UK right hand drive cars ?  I imagine that they are the same except that the longer and shorter one are swapped round. Basically, would wipers purchased from a UK retailer fit my car ?

  Looking at the years i really think i need to change,but some garage friends seem to think i will be ok for a while??  i am not to sure  .I  may go a head and get the timing changed.As the car is in mint condition with RS skirts etc .Oh yes it is a Ghia so all extras,Heated seats,Windscreen,Leather Seats Heated,air con,10 cd player  inboot,,sun roof elect and so on.SO I really would hate to lose the car through engine blow out ,What do you all think                                         Regards   Roger

  I have a peugeot 206, 04 reg The front wipers wont work on fast speed, they work fine on intermittent and slow, but on fast they just stop anywhere on the windscreen.

  I was recently driving along a local A road when my windscreen was hit by a small stone thrown up by someone strimming in front of his property. The area he was doing was the grass verge of the road, and probably local authority property anyway. As the damage was not serious,and was soon dealt with by RAC Windsreen service, i.e. epoxy was compressed into the hole, I was not too bothered.

  just got car and am loving it, just a few things are bugging me when going at speed 60+ the is a sound like air coming in from bottom of windscreen, is that normal or has a fan or somthing come on, it is a heated windsreen my clutch biting point is quite high, also i cant really feel any biting point, that normal, theres no sign of slipping or anything, can i lower the point on the pedel as me old focus point was very low my reverse light is always full of water, hows best to seal it up so it dont happen again car i bought has been sitting for around 10 month so there is a lot of light rust under it, and even on the door where the inside looks are theres slight rust and what looks like moss, hows best to clear this all up also my seatbelt light is always one, and my back side light dont wotk, have changed bulbs, the break element works but not the side light have read this is for many years and it has given me some brilliant advice over the years so i for the first time im asking for some

  Hi I was wondering if you could help, I have an 08 kia ceed and for some reason when I operate the front windscreen washer the drivers side only squirt out of the bottom 2 holes, there are 4 holes and the top 2 holes are hitting the bonnet edge and don't seem poweful. I can't see a kink anywhere in the pipe under the bonnet and the rear washer works fine .

  Hi when driving my car today the battery light has appeared on my dashboard followed by the handbrake light (the handbrake is off obviously!), then the odometer was reading ----, then the speedometer wouldnt move past zero and my indicators stopped working. the heated windscreen light also came on and despite pressing it several times it would not go off. the radio and hazard lights are working fine. any ideas of what is causing these issues   cheers

  My 1600cc C Max makes what only can be described as a "chattering " noise from the alternator area when the heated windscreens are switched on. The local ford dealer says it is the drive belt that needs changing at a cost of £90 and the belt is not subject to warranty.The car has done less than 25k and is just 2 years old.
