  I've seen booster packs that claim to do up to 2.5l petrol engines and yet state CCA of 400. Any batteries quoted for my car seem to start at 480 CCA. Does even a flat battery lend some CCA when jumping?

  Is it strictly necessary to remove battery terminal connectors before attaching a battery charger, or indeed not at all? In the old days with a dynamo it didn't matter. Nowadays with an alternator I'm not so sure. Recently I removed the leads and the radio worked fine with no attention afterwards.

  Hi, Have any other owners experienced intermittent battery failures with this model. It has been recovered by the AA on six occasions in the last 18 months with a 'dead battery' following overnight parking. Our local Ford dealer have investigated 6 times and cannot find a fault, although on one occasion they replaced the battery.
