  An 80k mile 2002/51 reg 530i Sport auto bid to £10,700 and 80k mile Y reg 530iSE auto bid to just £9,000. MINIs aren’t the force they once were either. A 27k mile 2002/51 Cooper (more than 3 years old, remember) sold for £7,600 which now seems to be the right money for them. While an 8k mile 04 reg Cooper with a full-length sunroof, but also a truly horrible bodykit sold for £10,850.

  FIAT Stilo is an Inside Job 15 Jan 2002 (News)
  Like Honda did with the Civic and is about to do with the Jazz, and like Peugeot disappointingly didn't do with the 307, FIAT has completely re-thought its seating plan. As with mini MPVs in the same market sector, the five-door Stilo has been designed to be easy to get into and out of with plenty of room inside and a high driving position to give a feeling of control. The front passenger seat tilts right forward or folds down to form a table to accommodate long loads or act as a work surface.

  Cars As Cheap As They’ll Ever Be At Auction Today 6 Nov 2009 (News)
  Current model Mondeo are seen as a class above the Mk III, and a strong £9,700 was paid for a two-year-old 2.0TDCI 140 Ghia. While someone made a mistake and paid £7,450 for a 2006/56 R50 MINI Cooper thinking it was an R57. And a 2008/58 Focus 2.0TDCI 110 Zetec estate with ‘Auto Clutch’ bid low only because bidders didn’t realise it was a Powershift.   But the bargains are there, just like November 2008.

  Huge money, but find another really good small torque converter auto (and I don’t include Polos). In contrast an 05 MINI Cooper convertible could not have been much cheaper at £5,500, though its 108k miles might have had something to do with it. Plenty of current shape Passat diesels to choose from today, probably all from the same company fleet.
