Chevrolet Camaro (1998 'ish) - Fuel pump replaced, will not start 20 Mar 2010 (Forum)
Hello everyone, can someone help? The fuel pump failed and was replaced by access to tank gained by cutting floor. replacement pump( from the states) runs and fuel arrives at the pressure regulating valve located at the rear of the rocker cover, this is checked by breaking into the lines at the wheel well, but does not pressurise the fuel system and there is no fuel to allow the engine to fire, sounds a bit af a coincidence that the pressure regulating valve should have failed at the same time, anyone with clues or advice? -
Which fuel? 1 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Hi all, I have just bought a BMW 530i Sport. My cars user handbook says that I should use 98 RON fuel, but that 95 RON fuel can be used. Which do you recommend I use? If there is a proper reason for the use of 98 RON fuel then I will do so, but it seems most odd that the manual states 95 is perfectly acceptable if it would prefer you used 98. -
Fuel Duty 26 Aug 2004 (Forum)
In the now locked thread about oil prices there was a general view that if oil prices rise the exchequer will benefit. Now I know VAT is levied on fuel at 17.5%, but isn't actual fuel duty a fixed amount (roughly 49p per litre ULSD/ULSP) and not related to the pump price? So apart from VAT, which is on most things, not just fuel, the exchequer won't actually gain a great deal from oil price rises. -

I have just topped the tank of my 1.4HDI C3 and noticed that fuel is spilling from underneath the car. OK it was brimmed, but not overflowing. After a few miles the leak has appeared to stop. Anyone know if there is a relief valve, or some other device to vent fuel from the tank? -

What is procedure for removing/replacing the fuel filter on these vehicles? Do i need to clamp any of the fuel supply or return lines before removing the filter element. The GM manual states that pulling fuel thru the system is a complex procedure and doesn`t go into any descriptive detail. -
Fuel worry 19 Mar 2002 (Forum)
Can't believe the fuel has gone up again!!..I was wondering how much fuel in the world have we got left before it dries out completly.. I don't understand why us (member of the public) have been told to take it easy on the fuel while in the motorsport industry they are using it like mad take F1 for instance (what a pointless sport going round a track a million times) Starman.... -
