  I have ordered a mini disk player for listening at work, recently today I started to think about the possibiltiy of using the mini disk in the car. The radio/ cd player I have is a Renault standard CD player option which I picked.

  A traffic light would be safer. Many drivers of all ages just drive straight over mini roundabouts anyway. PLUS-with mini roundabouts attached to a big roundabout( eg Hemel Hempstead's magic roundabout) you can go round either(both) ways. Car crash.

  I was traveling through Scotland to go climbing near Glencoe last weekend, somewhere around Prestwick / Glasgow I passed a new Mini towing a dog transporter box trailer, it had a graphic across the top of the trailer saying " Dogs on a mini adventure" It gave me a good chuckle. If the driver reads this forum thanks for the laugh!

  Bought a Mini 1 convertible from new  Clutch and flywheel failed catastrophically after 11300 miles but within the three year warranty. Mini maintain that this is is not a technical fault but due to my driving style.

  HJ Didn't BBC Watchdog do something on the MINI alarm system a little time ago?..... [Later] Yes, I did a search and found http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/reports/transport/index2.shtml?rpt19 not the same problem but obviously the remote on the MINI has some interesting "features".

  Got a mini one 57 plate 85k miles had pully change with full guard  it has full bmw service  history it started to misfire so I serviced it oil air filter new castrol oil 5- 30  new set of ngk spark plug and reset onboard computer but still misfiring has any body know a solution  Oh no engine management light on or any indicators suggesting any thing wrong  Cheers guy any suggestionis appreciated I

  Anyone got a new (2007) Mini and confirm this noise as being normal? I am very skeptical. Not impressed with the build quality of this car - only got about 1000 miles on it and the trim is rattling from several locations - how do they get away with it?

  Approximately 9 months ago the engine of my 2007 Mini Cooper S started making a rattling noise on start up. I took the car to a Mini service garage who informed me that there was no oil in the car, however the oil warning light had not come on. I have regularly checked the oil since then and the car has now used approximately 8 litres of oil, inlcuding an oil change at it's last service with Mini since last summer.

My partner has recently bought a Toyota Previa (sorry about spelling!!) with a view to do mini cabbing, our neighbour commented that he thought it would be too old (P reg). can anyone confirm how old a car can be before its too old for mini cabbing??   All, first post so please forgive me if this is in the wrong place or I breach any forum etiquette. SWMBO has decreed that she would like a new Mini Cooper to replace our ageing Scenic. This seems to be a good proposition however given the hype surrounding the Mini and it's popularity there appears to be no room for negotiation on price at my local dealer.

  We have a nearly new mini cooper d ('62 plate) which had 3,557 miles when purchased 8 months ago. this has now done 6,522 miles and the clutch has completely disintegrated. Mini now want to charge us £2,200 with no contribution from them .....surely this cant be right ??
