One man's Easter 15 Apr 2004 (Forum)
But to the point of the post: Lovely holiday signs by the roadside: interestingly in this country of 600 languages and dialects -- all in English (or sort of) Remember someone is waiting for you at home Tailgating is discourteous (58 million drivers must have no manners then) Drive now, text later (but my mistress is asking where I am, my wife is in the back and if I don't text her back she's gonna call me and I am in the proverbial) Keep your eyes on the road and your hands upon the wheels (sic) (might involve a few contortions and whoever conceived that must surely own The Doors' Greatest Hits) Don't throw your litters (visions of multiple kittens being ejected from AUV's) Drink a lot in hot weather (well I'll subscribe to that) Check your breaks regularly (lost me there) Speed may thrill but speed may kill Do not drink while you are driving (wot, not even water?) -
Byways open to all traffic 2 Mar 2004 (Forum)
I have been driving my road-legal rallycar [substitute: driving my Land Rover, classic sports car, etc.] on 'byways' and unclassified roads for XX years. I am a member of YY club/association, and I take pride in being careful and considerate to other road users at all times. -

Peugeot 308 SW - Axle Rust 3 Oct 2024 (Forum)
Hello, hoping for some advice for a car I've test driven. It drives really well but I don't know how much axle rust is ok and how much should be expected of a 2016 car. It looks like it's flaking but I'm unsure whether that could lead to failure. I've linked to an image here as I couldn't see a way to post an image. -

Hi everyone, Bit of an odd one, my DS3 Blue HDI drives absolutely fine, but every month/1000 miles or so, it starts juddering. It does it at any speed in any gear and will carry on for around 10-15 mins or until I stop and start the engine. Any ideas what could be causing this or how to fix it? -

Used Family Car - £13kish - Recommendations 19 Nov 2023 (Forum)
Hi all, I have a 15 plate Peugeot 308sw 1.6 blue hdi. Been a good car, loved driving it, but it's done 110k miles now and thinking its time to look for something different. Hoping people on here can recommend something reliable for around the 13k mark. Looked at Astra's and Kadjar's but not sure about reliability on them. -

Any - Car Hire - Italy 3 Aug 2023 (Forum)
We will need a car suitable for four adults with some luggage, we tend to travel light. There will be two drivers, our friends are Canadian and hence will do much of the driving on the "wrong" side of the road, I will be first reserve and relief driver. I am a little out of touch with who to use and would welcome any advice or comments. Thanks in advance. -
Vauxhall mokka - Surrendering your license 13 Jun 2023 (Forum)
Just wondered if anyone had advice regarding sending off your driving license in the post after settling a speeding fine online using the government payment portal? I paid the fine 6 months ago and now Devon and Cornwall police are taking me to court. I don't think there is any legal requirement to post your license since everything is now updated automatically. -

Driving down the M5 today there was an incident with a car facing the wrong way on the hard shoulder, all three emergency services in attendance. The warning signs were on no more than a mile before and the End sign only half a mile afterwards. -

BMW 3 Series Touring - 320D xdrive winter tyres or chains in swiss 7 Aug 2022 (Forum)
We are planning to visit Grindelwald Switzerland in Dec. The local driving school recommends to put on winter tyres although this isn't mandatory in Swiss. I tried xdrive performance in a muddy carpark previously and wasn't quite convinced by its 4-wheel control at all. -
