  Why bother to put that yellow/white/black bolt just *there* so that your number plate has your initials, or something that? Why bother to hack the "4" about, so that it's distorted and looks like an A? Change "5" into "S"? This after dropping the boy off at school this morning, & looking at the mummies cars made up like this. A Lard Rover Discovery with an oblong plate decorated with what should have been "NXXX/MXX" changed to "LXXXM/XX" (or something like that).

  i have an escort 55 on an 'S' reg. and recently i have begun to have problems with starting it. the lignition and lights all switch on, however the engine doesnt turn over. i have vague knowledge about the immobiliser and the PATS system with the LED but i was wondering if there was anyway i can bypass it at all?

  The car starts first time in the morning and runs well for a 13 year old motor with 73,000 miles on the clock, but got this intermittent fault not sure what?s causing it, ok on short trips.

  I have spoken to a renault dealer and the seem to think its the clutch, another garage thinks it could be a drive shaft? I had no problems up till now with the drive of gears. I have noticed the the O/S tyre has worn would this happen if the drive shaft has been on its way out. steering wheel did wobble a bit at speeds between 70- 80. if anyone has any ideas and could help i would be very thanksfull.

  If you have a bump currently no police will attend unless there is an injury- normally drivers only exchange names, address, Ins Co etc - with the proposed change in the law the Govt will be keen to have police attend as the Treasury gets the £60/£100 fines. More ££££s driven tax raising rather than policing in my opinion

  I have just bought a 1998 s reg 2.0 di ls astra. It is reported to have a problem with the diesel pump. It turns over but wont start. there is power reaching the pump.I have attached a code reader. It is showing no code faults at all!!

  Apologies if this has been asked before. What is the change interval for the timing belt on 1.6FSi engine fitted to a 2004 Touran S ? Am I correct in reading it has been reduced to 40k miles or 4 years whichever comes first as the service log book seems to suggest far longer interval. The above car was serviced by JCB VW Ashford last Easter on its 4th birthday, mileage was around 26k, and the dealer made no mention of a belt change.

  Hey all, I'm considering in looking at the above titled Bavarian beast. I've checked out the insurance for myself driver only & for someone who is in their 20's TPF&T isn't bad, nearly the same as an MG ZR. What're they like to own? What is the 520i like for fuel consumption? although I only do about 6k miles per annum, as I hardly drive during the week, I do ocasionally go on longer trips away.

  Hello all. I have a Volvo V40 2.0 Turbo S-Reg (1998). The car has climate control that has recently gone into fault mode. The cabin cooling fan doesn't work and the LEDs on the AC button flash - the user manual says this indicates a fault with the climate control system.

• Mitsubishi - 1994 1100 Circuit diagram for ECU 24 Sep 2008 (Forum)
  Can anyone out there please offer an alternative source for the circuit diagram of an ECU manufactured by Mitsubishi in the early to mid 90's? The PCB is in an ECU which controls a magnetic clutch ( which is also a Mitsubishi product ) on a Fiat car from 1993. Needless to say, Fiat have been of no help at all and Mitsubishi UK have ( so far ) failed to respond to any email contact.

  Hi all, Friend is looking for a Saab tid to replace his older petrol LPT one. He's seen one for sale 2002 51 plate SE with 118000 miles but full saab s/h - £2750. He's really keen but I've advised caution - my understanding is that the diesel is not very good. Any pointers or wise words disproving my view before he goes and looks at it? (It'll be a 180 mile round trip and I have a feeling this might influence his decision - if he goes I don't think he will come back without having bought it!).

  It must have been a different ball game 10 years ago for the Jeep. We kept pace for a few hundred yards, me doing 63mpg and him no doubt, around 18mpg.. What`s betting that in 10years time, someone is running alongside me in an electric car (News this AM) and thinking the same of mine?

  Please help my usually Reliable BMW 530d e39 2003 has developed diesel smoke on acceleration (much more than normal) also wierdlt found what looks like diesel spaying up the n/s of the engine bay (but i cant see where from),tonight the eng warning light has come on . The mpg has dropped and i do have loss of power . It still drives but im not because of it smoking ! Bmw want an arm and leg to even open the bonnet anyone help !
