  Has any one got any info on this stuff. i am going to buy a diesel and was going to run it on this stuff. The mechanic said oh it will ruin your engine, over time. I have only run a car for two tankfuls and it ran perfectly. There is a supplier local to me, and a taxi driver who was running a PD tdi audi a6 said he was running on bio-diesel.

  'm sure I read in HJ's column somewhere that I should leave my diesel engine running after a long run before switching off. Why is this necessary and why don't manufacturers warn buyers about it? My engine is a 2.5 TDI (102 bhp). Congratulations by the way on this site. I had a very quick and helpful responce to my previous queries....Bob

  Not seen any discussion for a while about running diesels on veg oil. I would of thought that with the current prices of diesel more people would be doing this. Was it just a passing fad?

  What happened to the proposal that all new cars should be fitted with daytime running lights? I thought legislation was going to be brought in to make them compulsory. I seem to remember that motorcyclists objected to the idea.

  If it was running any different to when they started on it why would they just not ring and say it's ready - pick it up ? Not sure where I stand really - any advice appreciated - it was running fine when I took it in.

  Berlingo 2.0hdi (June 2002) 90bhp got a bad misfire, sounds like running on 3 , has siemens injection system, had new injection pump 8 months ago, have changed fuel filter, we seem to have very little pressure out of the high pressure side of the injection pump to the common rail, have removed feed pipe from common rail , seem to have very little fuel delivery out of pump when cranking.Could it be electronic problem with pump, ie partially opened solenoid, or could pump be faulty.

  Hi All I was wondering what is the best way to run in a brand new Kia Rio Diesel. I picked up the car on Monday and am really happy with it. The manual states 'varied driving' but this could mean any number of things. The car dealer said it does not need running in and to just drive it normally.

  The reason is because the lights are in the middle with the parking lamps at the edge. What is the law regarding extra \"running lamps\" ? I don\'t want to become one of those fools who illegally run with fog lamps in good weather but I don\'t want a head on accident.

  The car cannot have done more than about 150 miles at the mo. My personal feeling is that it would be best to get the car run-in decently before letting her loose with it, certainly I can't imagine that being run in by 600 miles of low-speed, overly jerky, learner-driver standard driving will be doing the car any favours.

  Hi. VW Bora 1.6 8V (2000 reg) After the car only running on 3 cylinders we tryed every HT lead and found in the end that one of the spark plugs had gone pn #2 cylinder . So we changed it yesterday and all was running fine for 1 day. Was running around in the car yesterday and when we set off from the lights it started running on 3 again.

  Hi guys Not sure if this has been asked before, but just wondering, is there any second hand car options out there that look like they would cost a lot of money to run, but are surprisingly cheap? Just wondering, as I wouldn't want to dismiss any cars because I assume they are too expensive to run. E.g. nice BMW's, 4x4's etc. Not sure if this makes sense or is a daft question, but thought i'd ask :p Thanks

  my 2001 zafira has the coolant light flashing on and off on the dash board the coolant levels are ok all so when i turn on the ignition but dont start the engine the radiator fan and the ac fan starts to run when the engine is started the fans still run all so hard to start when cold but when the engine is warm it starts every time changed glow plugs and no trouble codes
