  • ford fiesta 1.6tdci - fiesta - repair to steering - like driving on ice 9 Dec 2012 (Forum)
I had new tyres fitted approx 6 weeks before this and the tracking done and the car was holding the road very well.  since the repair the steering has gone very light and it feels like I am driving on wet, even like I am driving on ice at times, when the road is actually absolutely fine and sometimes is actually dry.  I have checked tyre pressures etc and all is fine.  It seems ok with a small amount of turning to the wheel, it grips fine - if you imagine the steering wheel usually at twelve o clock position.

  • Car seized for no insurance - urgent help needed! 24 Jul 2012 (Forum)
I'm posting on behalf of a friend. They got stopped by the police who then seized their car because they were stupidly driving without insurance. He got a fixed penalty notice of 6 points and a £200 fine. Now comes the difficult bit - trying to get the car back. He can't afford to take out a policy now to get the car back, he'd need a deposit of £400 plus the money to pay the fine and the recovery fee.

  • Citroen C5 Turbo HDi 2 litre - Turbo or what is it 13 Mar 2012 (Forum)
The problem continued, but after parking the car overnight & re-booting the computer when starting the problem always disappears. Six monthe in UK including motorway driving – no problems. On returning to France & on the autoroute South, after 4-5 hours of driving on climbing hills between Lyon & Grenoble the turbo power failed. After re-booting the computer & driving gently & presumably letting the engine cool a little the turbo re-started!
