Ford Focus Saloon - Ford Focus TDCI 55 Plate Rain/Electrical issue? 15 Feb 2014 (Forum)
Seemed unlikely but the car was working so I drove as usual. Then two days ago I was driving in the rain, hoping the car would work fine which it was until we parked up and came back to the car 10 minutes later. The car unlocked fine, PAT light was flashing as usual etc.. put the key in, turned it to ignition and it immediately died. -
Court Summons for Parking Offence 18 Nov 2007 (Forum)
I got a court summons yesterday because earlier this year I parked on a stretch of road where there was an unbroken white line in the middle of the road. I was delivering a boot load of food and stuff for a friend's christening and was thinking more about parking close to the house than the finer points of parking regulations and in the hurly burly of setting things up for my friends forgot to go back and move the car before it had been spotted by two CSOs. -
Porsche 911 997 - Station runs in my 997 13 Oct 2014 (Forum)
In winter months I will not be cycling to the station so will drive. I'm not concerned about theft or damage in the station car park as a few people have told me that it's fine for that, but am more concerned about the mechanical impact of the journey - it is one mile so the car will only be started, driven there, stopped, and same home later thus never getting warm. -
Vectra P-Reg - Dash & Brake Lights Failure, Not A Blown Fuse 20 Oct 2012 (Forum)
I was pulled by the Police just after it and to be told i had no brake lights either, i told the officer that my dash had also just gone off (the timing was really bad) and thankfully, they let me go but only after following me to the local supermarket car park and parked it there. I checked the fuses, they were all fine and nothing blown, the headlights work, but thats it! Any help? Thanks alot. -
Blue Badge 9 Jun 2012 (Forum)
I showed the guy the blue badge, he said he could not cancel the ticket but to write and explain what happened. This I did, but the following day I got a email saying the council would not cancel the fine as we can not park in a disabled bay without displaying a badge. Do I have grounds to appeal? The photographs taken by the traffic warden would show the blue badge in the window where I placed it on my return? -

Mercedes-Benz AMG GT 4-Door - Car parking over my drive - Reg doesnt exist DVLA 18 Oct 2024 (Forum)
I have an issue where a Scummy bloke keeps parking his car over the driveway on our street, Bit of background - We live on a main access road through a village and not much parking available. He seems to feel its fine to just park over our access white line and dropped kerb in to driveway and there is an ongoing back and forth where we are trying to make subtle annoyed comments when he's about so he hears - We have 2 kids, under 5 and newborn so I keep bringing it up around him when he's moving the car and we are leaving house etc. -
Nissan Micra lx L reg - wiper problem 19 Oct 2014 (Forum)
On two occasions now they have come on and wont go off. I left them overnite and the next day they were fine ... now they wont go off again. The car is on the parked and doesn't have road tax so i cant drive it ... i thought it might be something to do with the battery "as its obviously going to die if not being driven". -
PCN Notice 28 Jul 2010 (Forum)
Does she have to pay this fine or will it go away if she ignores all the demands? It does seem a bit unfair when she was actually spending time and money in the services. Thanks -
Ford Fiesta (1995 - 1999) - 98 1.25 Broken Speakers 23 Apr 2009 (Forum)
Ok so at dinner time my speakers were working fine, parked my car and that was that. I finished work 3 hours later, jumped into my car, engine on and no sound was output. Now ALL my speakers are completely dead, the radio says it is on and I can see the visualizer going up and down but with no sound. -

Clio dci reverse gear 5 Nov 2004 (Forum)
I've just noticed that when I select reverse gear and hold the clutch in, the 'throttle' has quite a sluggish response. Its fine in neutral and the forward gears. I presume there's a reason, any ideas? Other dci owners? I had noticed this the odd time during cold weather, as I reverse uphill out of my parking space and a diesel engine generally doesn't respond great with the first few lung-fulls of <5 degrees C air first thing in the morning. -

KIA Pride (1991 - 2000) - slow clock 10 Aug 2007 (Forum)
I've got an old ('95) Kia pride, and the clock keeps losing 'chunks' of time. It's fine while it's being used, but park it up for a few days, and the clock's probably 'lost' a couple of hours. I'm wondering if it's a low voltage problem. It always starts fine, no slow churning on the starter. -

Diagnose my Carlton's hot start problems 22 Sep 2002 (Forum)
Surprise surprise it refuses to start again - the new motor didn't solve the problem. So I started the car by shorting the motor - it starts fine, so its obviously not the motor, but something in the inhibitor circuit. After giving it a bit of thought I thought it might be switch on the autobox that stops it from starting in everything but Neutral and Park - could that be getting really hot and not be working? -

VW Polo 1.4 2006 - Handbrake stuck in park 2 Jan 2022 (Forum)
Hi, The actual handbrake moves up and down (and as I do it the handbrake light turns on and off), however, no tension at all is released and the car stays in parked mode. I try to pull forward or reverse and the car just rears up. I read that it could be rust or perhaps engaging the handbrake too hard (I think it might be the latter to be honest if it is something to do with one of these two).
