Vauxhall Zafira A (1999 - 2005) - 01 1.6 - petrol - intermittent loss of power 19 May 2008 (Forum)
When driving short distance car fine. But when driving on open road and reach about 60ish car seems to loose power for a second or untill you put you foot down a bit more. You do get a strong smell of petrol as well. once it starts doing that and you stop at traffic lights the ideling is a bit ragged. -
British Gas Van limited to 70mph 4 May 2008 (Forum)
If it was to increase mpg then perhaps someone should tell them that limiting it to 70 won't do a lot of good as there aren't many places that you can do 70 anyhow the sort of driving they do! More useful would be teaching their drivers how to drive economically rather than just putting a speed limiter on it... -

Driver Experience Track Days 24 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Me and a mate want to do one of those track days where you get to drive a supercar. We're particularly keen to have a go on a Porsche 911. Having searched on the internet I've noticed that you don't get an awful lot of driving time (4-5 laps seems to be the maximum). -

Computer Related Questions - Volume 144 2 Jan 2008 (Forum)
I had it on my computer and uninstalled it. Now 3 months later I want it back and it won't install as it says "Unable to determine which drive you use to boot your computer" or words to that effect. As I only have one hard drive and it isn't partioned I can't identify the problem and the error message doesn't give me any link to a troubleshooting opportunity. -
Rover - 07 reg Rover -- How?? 8 Dec 2007 (Forum)
Driving through Kidderminster today. An event in itself I know... however, saw an 07 reg Rover 75. Now that got me thinking. AFAIK, Rover have not produced cars since 2004 (54 or 05) at very latest. Cherished reg plates don't allow you to make the car look newer than i is, so how on earth does a 3 year old car drive away with a newarly new registration mark? -
Speed limiters for young drivers? 25 Sep 2007 (Forum)
Basically they re-map the ECU so preventing the youngsters vehicle from going over 70mph without restricting the performance elsewhere thus making the young driver not realise it's been tampered with. Will it ever take on? -- Its not what you drive, its how you drive it! :-) -
VaG PD diesels - why are only some noisy 20 Jul 2007 (Forum)
Having owned 2 cars with this engine and observed many others I can't figure it out. Is it fuel, hard driving, soft driving or just out and out mileage that quietens them ? -
Car Friendly/Unfriendly towns 19 Jul 2007 (Forum)
The congestion charge has eased traffic in town a bit, so is great. It's expensive to park, but fine if you can afford it - and fine if you're driving through. There aren't many no-go areas although some one way systems are a bit irritating. Cambridge on the other hand you cannot even drive into. Oxford is worse. Dundee I will agree is a dream - but that's because the locals cannot afford cars. -
151k in 51mins in 330d - madman! 14 Jun 2007 (Forum)
151K in 51 minutes in a 330d by driving like a madman. www.tinyurl.com/yt5366 copycat coming to grief, but without anyone else doing so. I think the drivers exclamation at the end might have referred to the standard of his own driving www.tinyurl.com/39kpz7 {Link made non clickable - due to adult related content on this site that could trigger a report back to your employer, should you view this from your workplace. -
Putting diesel in a petrol 26 Apr 2007 (Forum)
More for your amusement than anything else: I am driving my jalopy today, a 106. Took it to put some petrol in, started putting diesel in it (normally drive a vRS Fabia). Only 77p, which I've watered down with 37 quid's worth of unleaded. It seems to be running OK, and the cashier said she's never seen anyone so relaxed about having done it. -

Fords Quickclear windscreen 19 Nov 2006 (Forum)
Does this happen with other Ford models that are fitted with the Quickclear windscreen ? I have experienced no such problem whilst driving Focus's without the Quickclear windscreen. Oh and yes I have had my eyes tested and they are fine for day and night driving. -
Be careful out there... 3 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Driving test fraud has surged to 'terrifying' levels, putting millions of innocent lives at risk, a Daily Mail investigation reveals. Illegal immigrants and other criminals use easily-forged ID to book a test, then pay a lookalike up to £1,500 to pass for them. -
VW Camper 1.6 Diesel Fan Belt 7 May 2006 (Forum)
This van, which is lovely but slow, has got a strange arrangement for the fan belts, the crank drives a belt to the water pump, which has 2 pulleys on the end, the second one drives the alternator, I want to tighten the belt between the crank and the waterpump, the belt is a bit slack and it has started squealing in the wet, there is no obvious means of tightening it, as the crank pulley and the waterpump, are fixed relative to each other. -
Is road rage on the increase? 11 Mar 2006 (Forum)
I seem to be getting seeing rather a lot of drivers mouthing off at one another and making rude gestures, add to this the intimidating driving and universal tailgating and I am seeing a depressing picture. Now am I getting paranoid or are other BRs thinking the same. I try to drive considerately within the rules and be polite to other road users..you know..signaling at roundabouts and practicing lane discipline etc. -
