April Figures Show Winners and Losers 10 May 2001 (News)
April 2001 registration figures from the SMMT are slightly mre interesting than usual. They clearly show that a combination of punitive forthcoming car benefit tax and a fall or around 15% in new car transaction prices has brought privcate buyers back to the showrooms. The 179,996 cars registered showed a 7% improvement on April last year but, more to the point, registrations to private buyers are rising significantly. -

The Michelin Clio Cup Series with Protyre is aimed at providing a professionally run, cost-effective first step into saloon car racing. Lamborghini Gallardo production ends 28 Nov 2013 (News)
The final Lamborghini Gallardo has rolled-off the production line in Sant’ Agata, bringing to an end to the Italian manufacturer’s most successful car. During its 10-year run, 14,022 Gallardos were built, dwarfing numbers of all other cars built by the iconic supercar manufacturer. The Gallardo was launched at Geneva in 2003, coinciding with Lamborghini’s 40th anniversary, and was the second all-new model under Audi's ownership of the company. -
