  I have been thinking of removing my egr valve on my twintop 1.9 cdti and 1.3 cdti estate. Has anyone else had this done , if so did the vehicle run ok. Would it fail the emmissions test on the mot.Thanks in advance. steve.

  engine starts fine but after a short time starts to missfire changed coil pack plugs leads and plugs erased fault code but aftter a run fault returns machine telling me muiltypule missfire  can anyone help or come up with any ideas thanks

  Hi, help please. Car was running fine yesterday, but stop off at shop yesterday went to start car back up and nothing! Engine turns but not catching. Tried bump start nothing. Jump start and nothing!

  Having issues with the battery charging. When I turn ignition on the battery light doesn't illuminate and when the engines running the battery gauge stays at 12 volts but when you rev it a couple of times the gauge goes up and it starts to charge. Any ideas?

    Turning off the ignition and restarting fixes it, however what does this mean.  There are no other lights displayed with it and the car runs fine.

  Apart from avoiding short runs from cold starts, is there anything else I can do to protect the DPF on my BMW 520d (177)? Will the use of premium grade fuel improve the life of DPF? And what about the grade of engine oil?

  After a short run (under 5 miles) when switched off the car is whiring underneath,I believe this to be burning off excess fuel. Does anyone know if this is necessary , could it be disabled .this must waste quite an amount of fuel over the year.

  The car judders on and off when running at all speeds, quite jerky. The colour of the exhaust pipe is black. Mixture too rich? I have recent  emissions test results if that helps? It passed MoT in November.

  Hello, I have an odd problem on my 2007 scenic - sometimes when the wipers are running on the fast setting they hit each other! The car has done quite a few miles - 120k+ - perhaps the actual mechanism is warn? Any help much appreciated
