As for the cars, they were clearly not set-up for circuit action, but, boy, were they good at the off-track excursions. Predictably, it turned into a bit of a demolition derby, with a mere six cars finishing - and Sir Stirling Moss was less than happy with the outcome. -

Wednesday near-miss: Lynx Eventer 17 Apr 2013 (News)
There was no argument that it offered far greater versatility, for while the boot space was similar to that of the standard car with the rear seats in place, it increased to some 39cu ft when they were folded, with the large rear hatch affording excellent access. Each Eventer was hand-built to order, and could be based either on a customer’s existing car or delivered as a brand new model. -

Auction Values of BMW 1 Series Set To Drop 25 Feb 2010 (News)
BMW has turned down a claim by the owner of a 2005 BMW 120D in which the ABS/DSC module failed, leaving the customer with a bill of £1,613 + fitting. This is around 20% of the value of the car. The reason for rejecting his claim to goodwill over the cost of this safety-related part is that the customer bought the car used from a car supersite and, though it had been serviced by BMW dealers and an 'Approved' BMW service specialist, BMW felt that the history of the car did not justify any goodwill at all towards the repair. -
