  Due to an insurance job I now have a brand new bumper on the front of my car. It looks daft at the moment with an old worn black bumper at the back. Can anyone tell me a good bumper polish that will get it like new again? Thanks for any help. (ps. They are the black plastic bumpers)

  You have to have 5 babies (all at the one time) by the end of the year!! Chances are they will not give a car away as the last Quintuplets in the UK are now 5/6 yrs old!

  Sounds like it might come from the passenger door but maybe elsewhere. I've noticed other comments re engine mount problems but this car is less than 2 years old with only 20k on it! Any ideas?

  How do these compare in terms of durability? Obviously old low tech indirect injection diesels are where the 'indestructable diesels' legend comes from, but how less fragile is an older setup than CR? For example, the VAG based 1.9 110hp that will be in the Toledo I buy, vs the HDi setup in my current car.

  Has anyone else noticed how many old style Mondeos there are on the road with broken bumpers? I noticed one or two and now I can't stop myself looking at any I meet mondeo to see if its bumper is intact (about 1 in 10 are not). I other peoples experiance are then any other cars that always seem to have similar damage?

  The why do they bother thread has me thinking. What estate cars look better than the saloon or hatch they are based on. My list is Rover 75, New Avensis, Alfa 156, most BMW touring(s), most volvos, new mondeo. And I always loved the look of the old rover 3.5 when they had the non standard estate conversion.

  I've just bought a secondhand car and it has a tatty old plastic sticker on the outside of the rear window. It's turned brittle and cannot be peeled off. I've tried hot water to soften it but no luck (presume the hair dryer trick wouldn't work here either) and I don't want to use a blade for fear of scratching the glass.

  Link error on both my scan tools so obd may not be getting power,I havent tested there yet.Vehicle is/was non starter,I swapped the EDU for a known working unit which I believe are plug and play, ,having spotted bad joints inside the old unit.re tried the old unit again to see if display lights come back on but no luck,somethings gone amiss since.Checked all the fuses and relays under the bonnet,is there a common fuse for these dashlights all to be out inside the car possibly?

  hi i recently done a engine change, just the engine all other electricals were used from previous engine they worked fine prior to changing ,the car sat with no battery for a month ,now all hooked up correctly ,the engine wont start no spark but getting fuel ive been told its the key ,it needs to be re figured ,but as my remote key is broken i cant configure it is this the problem .i have little knowledge about electrics but i do have power to the coils on the middle wire but no spark when plug earthed ,crank angle sensor was from the old engine and was working fine prior to the exchange of engines only swapped the engines cause i cooked the old one,,checked and rechecked wiring all seems fine,can somebody please help with a answer i can try to get it going thanks

  Timing belt, tensioner and water pump were replaced one month before that. Tyre pressure is ok (32psi). The car has covered 64,000 miles, is 9 years old and is in good condition with plenty of main dealer history. I'm not driving it like a boy racer, nor like an old lady. Any ideas of what's causing this slightly disappointing economy?
